Not sure how many people saw this, but here's the infographic that Cryptic shared today:

Biggest Takeaway from this is that none of the ships are Romulan or Klingon (since probably at the time they compiled this, Romulan ships being cross faction was not yet a thing, so people looked for ships that they could use the most).
What do you guys think of this?

#2 - T5 Avenger is probably from people who own the Arbiter and want the Variable Auto-Targeting Armament console to complete the 2-pc Deadly Maneuvers set: https://sto.gamepedia.com/Deadly_Maneuvers_Set_(Avenger)
The thing though is that the Arbiter is the one that was available via the coupon, so I think that anything that's listed in their T5 skin are due the people probably flying the ships in the T5 skin.
D'oh! You're right, I trusted them to get the graphic right and follow the C-Store listings.
The Arbiter is a great choice for a ship to fly, as well as having the Emergency Weapon Cycle trait for any other ship.
Avenger should be Arbiter.. the Avenger is a T5 and can't be purchased with the free coupon. Also the last ship is clearly a Hestia and it's labeled Jupiter.
Cryptic doesn't proof anything.. they just slap it together and release it.
That being said.. the results are interesting indeed. I really don't understand why anyone would use the Coupon on the Jupiter though.. what's that about? Doesn't have a good console, doesn't have a good trait, BoFF seating is mediocre.. the only 'selling point' is that it can launch Calisto's which are the worst hangar pet available.
What a waste of a coupon.
It's as if they are trying to improve on the Number of Posts metrics.

I suspect alot of things on this list are on it cause people wanted them but couldn't justify paying for them. half the list can use canon appearances.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
They're Sith, they want us to give in to our anger and let the hate flow through us
Some people might want to fly a fed carrier and ignore all of the better non-fed true carriers and 2-hangar other-ships out there.
I own so many ships from purchases and events that I can see myself "wasting" a coupon on a theme ship for one character that I'd never buy. I'm tempted to get the Kolasi Siege Destroyer just because it looks like it could have flown in from Babylon 5.
I am one of those people that intentionally bought the Jupiter, mostly because it was a ship I wanted, but didn't want to actually use zen to purchase it.
To me that ship is what the D'Deridex should've been in terms of stats, it almost looks like a similar kind of style.
Same here.
The rest don't really compare to it, There are a few ships there i get a few i don't but players do things based on different thoughts. Not always smart thoughts but thoughts none the less.
I would have assumed players would have researched traits and then made a choice, but it seems more like they made an emotional choice. Except for the ones that went with gagarin. Best choice.
So anything that is not the Gagarin is a bad choice??, thats what you trying to say??..... because you are right! , but also de Arbiter have an excellent trait, thou i buyed the Hestia, because i have almost all the others... except the Jupiter.. my god, what a horrible ship!

Any T6 ship is a viable ship, they can all complete the game content.. I don't mean it like that. I was just surprised to see a ship that compares so dis favorably to many others claimed so often.. that's all. If you used the coupon on the Jupiter, that's great.. and I honestly hope you enjoy it. I don't 'ship shame'.. if that's a thing.
It's just the ship I least understand out of that list of pretty good ships, that's all I meant.
Personally, though, nothing in that graphic interests me aside from the Narendra (and Yamato of course) but I intend to get that in the bundle with the KDF counterpart when I get it. The Arbiter I already have.
It should be mentioned, though, that the Cardassian ship and Chronos are completely cross faction ships.
I suspect the Gagarin would still have been number one and rightly so (I'd have chosen it if I didn't already own one, and I encouraged my partner to choose it for his ship), but I suspect there would have been a definite Rommie presence - it certainly would have changed my choice, for one.
Makes sense.
Solid choice.
I was more generic.. I got the Tactical Andorian Escort just for the trait. I already had the Engineering Variant (Kuthar) and that one is the one I wanted to fly, but I wanted the trait and the cosmetic options from the Thozyn so I got that.

Got a Kara Advanced Warbird with my coupon.

Good trait, but what an enormous piece of cow dung otherwise.
Then again it may just be a poor match for my play style.
Like many others I am saving the coupon for either the Romulan or the Dominion temporal ship (though I have been looking at others on the side, including one of the Dewan toilet brushes since it is somewhat reminiscent of Stingray with the spinning brush tail with "bubbles") but I doubt I will spend it until the Temporals come out of their "new" status.
Romulans are my favorite characters overall and so I will probably get the Kholhr (and it has enough touches from all the factions to work for them all style-wise), though since I have given up waiting for the Dominion to be expanded to include Vorta and experimented with Vorta based on the Romulan "alien" generator (they work out reasonably well) I might just get the Vanguard temporal to use with them (since I probably would not buy it for cash) and pick up the Kholhr or another Rom ship during the next double sale.
The Intel Assault Cruiser is a good ship, it's big issue is that it's bridge officer seating kinda makes it a one trick pony. As an Aux2Bat Beam Build Cruiser.. it's pretty good. For anything else.. well..
This might be its flaw then. I cannot remember when i last used that setup.
Anyway, let's get back to discussing the most favored coupon ships.
