I would like to know where you were the first time they DRASTICALLY changed the way klingons looked, you know for the Motion Picture? Oh and the honor thing, it didn't show up until later on in TNG and didn't really get developed until DS9.

The devs seem just as excited for Picard as they were for Discovery, so a very good chance. Do note that the main hero ship of Discovery is Lockbox (or 'Promotion!' for the Mirror version) with the other secondary ship (Walker) Lobi, with random of the other ships randomly Lockbox too. So, don't expect everything from Picard in the C-Store (even if it is right time period,) possibly even the hero ship.

The picard show will be used. But this is kinda going to be something that might be more problematic. Depending on how they do the timeline for it. If it differs so much from the timeline Sto uses, They might have to make it an altnerante realty. But maybe not, because they have one big big ace up their sleeves that they could use to make the timeline match up to picard. That is the Butterfly quest. That sad one with Claudia and Noye. Where Claudia gets wiped from existence and changes to the timeline were obviously bigger as a race that wasn't assimilated was assimilated and the survivers were trapped in subspace. Just like the Solonae. If you change one minor detail and something might never come to be. That is how the timeline works. By using the butterfly effect they can easily align the game without having to make it an alternate reality.

The picard show will differ from most Star Trek shows because one it won't be much of a starfleet focus. It will be a heavy Romulan Focus with Borg ties to the storyline possibly maybe dealing with how the Nero Ship got all that borg technology and stuff that was in Sto with the Tal Shiar Cannibalizing borg cubes for parts. If you noticed how the borg cube was in the Trailer it kinda looks like that one borg cube in the ROmulan REpublic storyline in many ways. So I think they are taking part of the storyline from Sto. So I think they are using some Sto elements even the uniforms starfleet ones seem to be based off the seira and odyssey uniforms found in the game from what I understand. The Borg Cube in the Trailer looks like it was cannibalized in the same manner the borg cube in Sleepers was cannibalized.

Big difference between these two cubes though is obviously, the one in Sto is a ruined Borg Collective Cube. But the one in Picard is not a Borg Collective Cube. You can tell this by the coloring of the forcefields and also this is what a Borg Cooperative cube looks like down below within Sto and this is the borg cube seen in the picard trailer. Its a Borg Cooperative Cube. Given Hugh most likely was on this one and is one of the Romulan Prisoners. So whats been happening Sto with the Romulans and their borg experiments will be happening in the Picard show that much is clearly obvious and somehow the Romulans managed to capture A Cooperative Vessel. So maybe the Timeline won't be as much a problem if it follows up with Stos Timeline in terms of the Storyline. Given this storyline angle might have been taken from Sto itself to be used for the Show. Which I'm kinda glad for as it would make it easier for Cryptic to incorperate Picard Elements if Picard is incorporating Sto ones.

One possibility is that Picard (the series that is) will show the birth of the co-operative rather it being something pre-existing. You can see lighting in the typical "borg green" shade on the Cube from the TV series.

The other shows had borg being disconnected from the collective and the concept of the coorpertive came from voyager but also there was borg like Hugh that managed to get at least one cube disconnected from the borg collective so I imagine during that time he and his drones freed other borg from the collective. The reason why I think cryptic made the coopertive colors blue instead of green to make green might be how they make it so people can tell the difference between the two types. Picard might be doing it. to Show that this borg cube wasn't a collective cube but maybe one of those disconnected cubes.

Cryptic has talked about maybe doing a borg cooperative faction. the Picard show if they go with the Cooperative route with that cube could give Cryptic the opportunity to incorporate a coopertive faction into the game. While also giving them the opportunity to do that Borg Storyline they have been wanting to do. The cooperative is basically good guy borgs. They do share a hive mind but they still retain their free will. The hive mind is used to help in healing along their kind. It was done to stop the infighting between borg species. Which is kinda cool. So in ways its like the collective with a hivemind but they don't assimilated species against their will. Just using the hivemind concept to keep from infighting.

Someone on one of the official livestreams mentioned that CBS asked Cryptic to send them all their STO lore information and that people from the two companies met and talked for quite a while at one point. Funny as it sounds, CBS may actually want to do something compatible with STO instead of just trampling the game's lore. It does make sense though since tie-ins are proving profitable for Disney at least, and CBS might be testing the waters to see if it works for them (and STO) too.

Thinly veiled discovery rant thread trying to hide behind a question. If folks want to discuss the bits of Picard that might make it to the game that's cool. Ranting and gatekeeping are not. /thread
