why the romulan cruiser/battlecruisers don't have these commands, except the fact that they are also warbirds? (question already asked 1000 times, but I did not find an answer)
with the recent modification of the exclusivity of the romulan ships, and the technology exchange, maybe the warbird cruisers and battlecruisers could be updated for having the cruiser commands?
the Aelahl could be upgraded too; it is Light Warbird
Battlecruiser like the Jem'Hadar Light
Battlecruiser. there is also the arbiter which is a battlecruiser. The aelahl is underpowered in comparison; no 5/3, 3 tac console slots, no command cruiser. this ship is 1 of the most beautiful design created by cryptic, but currently it takes the dust in my dry dock.

As for now, it doesn't sound out of place to give just Commander Engineering Warbirds the closest matching Cruiser Commands.
+ if the rom ships were updated, they would be more desirable, and maybe the sells of tom ships would increase. the d'deridex is really nice, but this ship has nothing for her: turn rate 5, slow, boff seatings average, no command cruisers.
Also, inexplicably, the T'Laru science carrier did not receive subsystem targeting. It needs to be added just like this needs to be addressed.
I also think Warbird Cruisers should get Cruiser Commands, just for parity's sake. However, this part that I quoted is pretty selective cherry-picking about Battlecruisers. The majority don't have a 5/3 weapon layout or more than 3 Tactical console slots. The Aehlal just about perfectly mirrors the Eclipse and Qib from the same bundle, save for the fact that it is missing their (truncated) Battlecruiser Cruiser Command suites.
that was just an example. I thought about the Aelahl, when I took a look at my rom ships available for my feds And like I have the jem'hadar battlecruiser and the arbiter, i was suprised that even if they share almost the same name, they don't have the same layout. I have also the q'ib, but I don't use it; the layout is not appropriate for my way of playing.
Well here is round 2.
Basically cruiser commands were not added to war birds at the time of release due to the devs feeling that singularity powers were already enough for them. They mentioned this years ago.
The thing is, apparently they didn't feel that way about subsystem targeting but I blame that on the fact that, subsystem targeting sucks to be Frank. It's terrible and serves virtually no purpose in modern sto. Hell even back then it didn't serve a real purpose.
Nowadays though, there's less reason for that distinction of keeping cruiser commands removed. So maybe we'll see them added in with a patch soon enough. Who knows.
Now please don't randomly delete this post. This is not a troll and is a legitimate response.
Subsystem targeting actually is useful in that you can use a basic form of the powers without taking up a boff power slot. I use the engine subsystem targeting a lot on my gravity well equipped ships for instance.
There was talk a while ago about singularity powers getting a tune-up pass but I haven't been keeping track of whether they did it or not yet. If they haven't done it yet it could explain why some of the Romulan ships were left like they were. If so it would be great since improved singularity powers would be better than just slapping cruiser commands on top of what they have now.
