STO Connection failure 20.01.2019

For the past twelve or so hours (and on going), it is been next to impossible to login to Star Trek Online, either it stays on "Cryptic Launcher Update" stating "attempting to connect" before delivering a failure message "unable to connect to Patch Server", or it takes close to ten minutes to load the game connection only for the characters to not load due to a bugged connection, or it states "Failed to talk to Cryptic servers for initial connection. Please try again.".

The rest of my multiplayer games play just fine, my connection speed is as it should be, and only Star Trek Online is having issues. I am a bit concerned as I have not seen anyone else post about this on the forums as would usually happen when such issues occur server wide.

Can anyone else confirm experiencing this same issue?
