Yea... but apparently it didn't work out because some people didn't get their stuff. At least that's what I heard. I don't know Cryptic's official stance on the situation.

At the prices they were charging, this was no surprise.

A lot of the articles just rehash the same information but I've read a couple which highlight new information with this Chapter 11. I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of all this & if there is any accountability there had been some financial trickery going on with that LootCrate for some time. That company needs a financial audit investigation. Multiple millions of dollars world wide, hundreds if not thousands of orders delayed or not delivered yet money still taken in, & missing a balloon payment of multiple millions too back in 2017/18. It just shows that the culture isn't about accountability but about getting away with scamming others. :-( I do remember Cryptic partnering with LootCrate. I liked the idea, but I did a little research & found it all too sketchy for me so I never subscribed. Also, wasn't there a few problems from near the start of it all too? If Cryptic ceased dealing with them smart move! A shame too since innovative idea.

The STO game? Not at all.

LootCrate might have offered a bit of potential income from selling STO goods, but it's unlikely that the revenue lost from their collapse is enough to bother Cryptic.

It's been months since the couple of news posts on the partnership, Cryptic probably wrote the partnership off as a failure long ago.

The Organian Greeting, Disco, Evil Plans, and Ta-Dah! emotes are Loot Crate exclusives which is the only effect that Loot Crate had on STO. Loot Crate gave a code in their Star Trek Mission Crates for a Federation Starter Pack, Klingon Starter Pack, and an Appearance Pack. The last Star Trek Mission Crate was shipped in December or January.

The Star Trek Mission Crates and Firefly crate were the only crates suffering problems since last year while the other loot crates only had major shipping delays in recent months.
