I'm not positive if it's intended or a bug (probably intended), but the Hur'q Swarmers derive no benefit from Coordinated Assault when I activate BAO. I think it may be because they use "short range mining lasers" instead of traditional beam arrays, but in my opinion that's a pretty lousy excuse for excluding them from a pretty good trait (one of the few hangars that can't use it). Focused Assault II on their elite version is decent, but the long CD time coupled with the lack of any torpedo on them makes them more of a "fire and forget" hangar because there's simply nothing I can do (aside from Scramble Fighters) to help them out.
Anyone else feel this way? Anyone else actually use the [Hur'q] Swarmers?
Some pets got weird things on them despite being good
For example to my surprise Sarcophagus pets didnt level but they are still the most "active" attacking pets around so I shrug it off and besides I got scramble fighters to offset that in their case
For the hurq pets I havent checked them since I dont own the ship yet but initially I thought they worked like advanced obelisk swarmers - but these swarmer do attack from some distance
The Hur'q Swarmers are not as dynamic as the Obelisk Swarmers, the Obelisk Swarmers are actually really active pets which typically open combat with a full salvo of BAOs and transphasic torps and then maintain pressure with more BAOs and torps.
Hur'q Swarmers will open combat with focused assault and then simply spin around the target. Focused Assault's CD is so high that they only use it once or twice every few minutes and it's effects are not very noticeable.
That's the main reason I got Coordinated Assault, I wanted to be able to give my Hur'q Swarmers a little something extra.
The Obelisk Swarmers tend to die to warp core breaches more frequently and the Hur'q are surprisingly agile and stay around much longer.
The Hur'q pets behave like this because they dont have actual beam arrays, but a lazer beam, wich I think is codded differently. I am not saying is a good thing or bad, mind you, but an explanation why the Coordinating Assault doesnt work. The starship trait from Superior Aria Denial, wich gives the pets bfav/csv when the player is using these skills, doesnt work with them either. So I guess its WAI...
Now, may i offer you an advice? Get from exchange the personal space trait called Holographic Mirage Decoys. It shouldnt be too expensive, it was a mil or two some months ago.... It should give your Obelisk Swarmers some survability to last longer...

If this is a bug, it would be better to have this moved to the Bug Report section of the forums.
Also... is this the actual hanger pets from the Hur'q carriers or the summon item? I'm not entirely sure.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I'm pretty sure it's not a bug, but I couldn't rule it out. I think it's safer to say that because the game categorizes the Hur'q Swarmer weapons as something other than beam arrays, the Coordinated Assault trait doesn't work.
I think that's pretty ridiculous, as it makes a good trait worthless on them for virtually no reason other than the name of the weapon.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"

Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
