Ok Cryptic, explain this.... :-)

I was in the Starbase 1 TFO during the 7.1 earthquake tonight. During the shaking the "lag" went away. When the shaking stopped, the lag came back. Only thing I can think of is the shaking scared the servers hamsters into turbo mode on their little wheel. :-)

We had taken students to Anaheim for a National Conference and were just about to attend a meeting when the 6.4 happened... first time our students (from Wyoming) had ever been in an earthquake. The swaying on the 16th floor of the Anaheim hotel was cool, but our students only enjoyed AFTER they figured out what was happening and knew they were safe... We were traveling home and were already in Wyoming when the 7.1 hit. I am from the San Bernardino are originally, so it was no surprise to me... I haven’t had enough lag on STO as of yet, but I bet the lack of play during an earthquake is what freed up your lag... There is a bit of a shock factor that affects one concentration when the earth beneath your feet starts moving...

The hamster wheels are in Massachusetts, though. That'd be one hell of an earthquake!
