This is not a wallet warrior request. On Tuesday my wife was diagnosed with cancer and I now have to drive her 400 miles round trip to her Chemo and Radiation treatment three times a week. We live in the middle of nowhere really so any major medical issue is a very long way away. Who knows what is going to happen after all this chemo and radiation. I do know she is going to have major intrusive surgery at some point, The only reason I am even asking for this to be possible is right now Trek takes my mind off things and the 'Vette is one of my fall back pure fun ships and when the t-6 version with pilot traits was announced it was "this is going to be a blast". Well now with the crisis at hand I will not be able to finish enough of the Risa floater game to earn it. This game is one of the few things right now that takes my mind off how bad things are. I put on the "Husband face" to hide how this is hurting me inside so she doesn't worry. I am playing when she is asleep thankfully she can so far so no folks I am not ignoring her at all. In fact I can keep an eye on her from where I have my laptop located. This is the only reason I am requesting this. Thanks Team for some fun in a questionable period in our life.

    Sorry for such terrible circumstances.

Vouchers are already available in the Lobi store, and you can finish the project next year if already slotted.

While I can't say anything about making C-Store vouchers...

You've certainly got the support of many of us regarding your wife.
I've lost family to Cancer so...I understand how hard it can be.

You have my sincerest sympathies. I've lost family to cancer, so I know how it feels.

As others have said, if it's slotted, you can finish it next year and do the next ship on another toon. Or get them from the lobi store, which will be quite pricey. Depends on how much lobi you have and are willing to spend.

Best of luck on your wife's fight with cancer, man.

Just want to echo the condolences and hopes for your wifes swift and full recovery.

The best you can probably do is slot the project to finish later. That is, unless someone from cryptic like @ambassadorkael#6946 might catch wind of this and persuade someone from Cryptic to help out a little?

Of course, they're under no responsibility to do so, but it would be a nice gesture to maybe gift this guys some favors so he can at least get his ship?

They could stand to increase the Vouchers received for 5 Lobi.

In LOTRO, for their various Festivals, there is always a 'Currency' converter NPC that will take the 'currency' of one Event and convert it to the appropriate number of 'Currency' for a different Event at reasonable rates. It is always a fixed amount. Not saying that we need that here but a FIXED amount with a reasonable rate would certainly be welcome.

Thank you all for the good thoughts. We are in a holding pattern on everything but her health and treatments. This coming Tuesday at the earliest we hope to hear from pathology it is not malignant. The game plan for fighting this is very much subject to change depending on what the lab work shows. Hopefully it changes for the good and not the other way. We have two Grand kids and we want to see both of them step out on their own. Granddaughter is a Sophomore in College majoring in journalism and Grandson is a Sophomore in High school. All we want really is at least six good quality years.

Also hoping the best for you and your wife. =( I'll be crossing my fingers for you.

And yes, I too can get behind such a suggestion, especially in circumstances such as yours.

As people have already said, Summer Event Vouchers for the ship project are already available in the Lobi store.

You can open lockboxes and whatelse that gives lobi crystals, and buy the vouchers that way if won't be able to farm them and have money to spare instead.

But note, you have to buy a bunch of them as they only give a small handful of vouchers each time you press buy.

They do indeed sell the vouchers. If you have the project queued you're good to go on that front and you will NOT lose the project if you don't complete it before the summer event ends. This means you can work on it throughout the year and even into next year if it takes that long. Hopefully it won't.

Assuming it takes you longer than the summer event to complete the project you can pick up the marks throughout the year as you pick up spare lobi. The boxes give anywhere from 1-7 marks usually per box, so it will take you a fair number of them to complete the project depending on how far you get with regular dailies. That's about all the advice we can give. Beyond that, best wishes and Godspeed. I hope all goes well. Have family and friends that have struggled with this awful sickness, but it can absolutely be beaten.

Just don't take the project out of the slots. As long as it stays, you have a chance of completing it.

Those Lobi Boxes go away after some time after the Event.

Heard from her oncologist she sent the tissue to the Mayo Clinic doesn't look good. We will know more hopefully good news on Monday. Then the battle truly starts. I really want to thank everyone for the good wishes. God knows we need them .

If you have the LOBI for it you can go the Risan Vendor and trade Lobi for the Vouchers.

Update on wife. We are still waiting for Mayo Clinic to send the biopsy results. Talked to our oncologist today and she is hoping to have them on Monday she has no idea why they are taking so long. My wife and I joked around and said it was all the Alien DNA she has... LOL I will post from time to time updates. Thank you all for everything!
  • echattyechatty Member Posts: 5,924 Arc User
All the best of luck on the biopsy. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope for the best for you.

    God bless and keep you.

Hey, Cryptic, you know what would be really cool?

Give ssbn655 a T6 Risian corvette. Dude's got more than enough to worry about already.

Thanks to a very generous person who will remain nameless I have enough for the ship.
This is an ordeal that I would not wish on my worst enemy. We hope to have word tomorrow on the biopsy results. But we are not holding our breath. We joked around that what has thrown it off is her human alien hybrid DNA. I may have said that before but it makes us laugh. The waiting is the hardest part. Laughter is something we need a lot of. I have nothing but my deepest thanks for all the kind remarks.
The cruelest thing is this crisis has hit just before her birthday coming up on the 30th and today was our 17th year together with our 16th wedding anniversary coming up in August. I hope she gets the best birthday present possible with it being benign and easily treated.
I don't know where my life will go if the unthinkable happens she is my universe.

I wish for the best for your wife and for you, sorry I don't have the correct words, but I hope everything is/will be alright. I know how you feel.
Now you need not worry about the game, just slot the project and be there for your wife.
It's good that you both have humor.

I'm glad to hear you got the ship. I know it's a small thing, especially considering everything going on, but it's still nice that you were able to get it.

Props to those that helped you with it, it's a small thing.. but hopefully, it helps a little. We'll keep you and your wife in our thoughts.
