section 31 ship won't switch back and forth between tactical and science mode

i was lucky and got a section 31 lockbox ship. but it seems to be broken. at least on xbox on the unique-ish key feature of the ship. or am i wrong thinking that the ship should be able to switch mode at least as soon as red alert is over?

Having the exact same problem. It all works fine in safe zones (like space docks). However during combat: Once you switch to tactical; you can't switch back until the encounter ends and you system depart. -- This isn't just an animation bug. You become literally stuck in tactical mode.

Hope the evs can do aomething about this quickly.

I can state that it is not just the section 31 ship but all science destroyers facing this bug including the t5 cstore ships and the old event/lobi ship
