Crystalline Cataclysm - Should we be able to choose Discovery marks?

Is the inability to choose Discovery marks from the list of marks packs a bug or intended feature?

    It's an intended feature lately that they don't put new Repuation marks in events. They want people to play the TFOs that the marks come from.

    Indeed I agree with this. Part of the reason queues suffered before this and the implementation of the Random TFO's was that people were just hitting Borg RA's because you could acquire all the marks from there, so what they do now is benefitting the variety of queues played. They also did the same with Gamma Marks.

    Discovery Marks, however, are one of the choices from the Marks Choice Box that is awarded by the completion of the Crystalline TFO Event (250).

    Though the post-completion Daily Marks Choice Boxes, do NOT offer Discovery Marks as an option.

    It's normal that the new flavour marks don't get added into choice listings until 6 months or so after they arrive so the "new" queues are populated rather than folk dipping into the stash of choice boxes clogging up alts banks.

    Lukari Marks? Within 36 days of release, right into the first Featured TFO - Breach (new new version).

    Gamma Marks? Eh, let's hold off on them for a really long time and make them first availible elsewhere when Discovery TFOs are first released. That should help spur that along a bit.

    Lukemarks were spoiled in the red alerts on release day. Worst rep ever.

    The kethi BZ didn't help lukari marks much either and that was an "official" way to get them.

    Gamma marks became even more of a joke with how the gamma recruitment booster/rewards allow you to skip the waiting zone and queues completely.

    I think we should be able to choose disco marks in it, but I can just afk the disco queues if I really need it though I'd appreciate a queue I actually enjoy playing having the marks available.

    That's what I meant.

    Lukari rep is one of those I used an events and RA's to level instead of any of the linked "content" putting it up there with comp rep which just became nigh on impossible after the first rush to tier 5 happened.

    At least if you need Lukari Marks you can always get Swarm to Pop.

    Right now, the only ways to get Competitive Marks are running RTFO's for the mark choice boxes or waiting until an event like the current CCA that awards all marks.

    Yeah, now that I think about it, Swarm is Gamma.

    Dranuur Gauntlet is Lukari, as well as Dranuur Beach Assault, Gravity Kills and Tzenkethi Front.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Pretty sure Swarm is Gamma Rep. There's only one STF that gives Gamma Marks outside of the Battlezone.

    No, he’s right.. Swarm is Gamma marks, my bad. I used TZ Front and the BZ for Lukari Marks.

    Repetitive TFOs is some of the worst, most mind numbingly boring content in STO. It's no wonder people want another way to get marks.

    I run SB1 Advanced for Discovery Marks and then run CCA once or twice for other Marks and to help complete an Endeavor. I am only doing this on my Discovery Character. Using those other Marks to fill in as the Marks are eaten up on the climb to Tier 6 for all the other Reps.
