Hey guys I am running a Tactical Pilot Escort and I will be buying crafted gear, can anyone tell me what stats I should be looking for regarding shields, engines, warp core, deflectors, etc. I know the Discovery weapons are the best way to go currently and will be loading up Phaser DHC. If you have suggestions on consoles as well that would be helpful.

    Hey there! :)

@seaofsorrows made a great sum up of the core systems in the recent disruptor thread. Since it focusses on crit stats, speed and energy levels instead of a certain energy type it applies to phaser 1:1. The mega strong Terran weapon is available as phaser as well. So are your already mentioned discovery seonsor linked weapons.
Weapons (at least) seem a little more straight forward. Entoiled and TTF sets appear to be the go-tos with Preserver or Martok as considerable alts/supplements depending on how to shape the build.

I seem to be having more problems with the better (we can't say 'best' until narrowed down to a T... if even then) ship gear sets. They can be combined... broken up and then one has to decide which 2-3 pieces to keep/match with the 1-2 pieces from the other set(s).

If you just want the maximized 'best' setup for Disruptor builds, here is the combo most people are currently using.

Weapons - Terran Task Force Disruptor Beam Array. - Currently the hardest hitting, strongest single weapon in the game. This is a staple in all disruptor builds rather they are cannons or beams. The rest of the weapons tend to be Spiral Wave Disruptors. The next best option is Sensor-Linked Disruptors. Barring those two options, the best option for your weapon is simply crafted Disruptors with combinations of Damge, Critical Damage, and Pen Mods.

Impulse Engine - Prevailing Regalia Engines. Most people prefer the fortified version, it gives you a speed boost, a defensive bonus, and a significant turn rate bonus every time you use a shield or hull heal. The Fortified Version is favored because having it proc on heal makes it easier to manually control the boost.

Deflector - Elite Fleet Protomatter Deflector. Best deflector for Energy Builds hands down. Gives you a damage as well as Critical bonus.. available from the Fleet Colony.

Warp Core - Elite Fleet Plasma Integrated Warp Core. Most use the one with AMP, EFF, SSR, W-E, WCAP. This core gives a damage bonus for high power levels, increases subystem power transfer rate, sends bonus weapon power to your engines and has a boost for your weapon power. Available from your Fleet Spire.

Shield - Prevailing Regalia Resilient Shield. You want the Innervated Version.. a shield that gives you bonus to Critical chance and severity? What's not to love?

As for weapons and consoles, yea, phaser is a good call as there is a massive selection to choose from by now. As orientation I can leave you my three current phaser bulds. All of which should be able to do 500k+ DPS in supporting teams. The first recently did.

    Neela’s Vaadwaur Juggernaut

    Connor’s Jem'Hadar Vanguard Warship

    Telora’s Fleet Shepard Battlecruiser

On a general tone. We do have the STO league Homepage. Feel free to stay in touch there regularly as it’s admins are the most knowledgeable and talented PvE players around. They see to it that we get constantly supplied with top of the line build information.

If you have any questions or need cheaper substitutes for the displayed stuff we can discuss it here of course as well.

Hey man, thanks for that! I bought the Aegis set as I had not read this yet, but I am about to drop another 50 bucks on keys to get the credits to buy the Regalia. I went with the Targeted-Link Phaser Dual Beam Banks and got a good mix of DMGx2 and x3. I still need to find a fleet to get those sweet fleet consoles.
