Been away from game for a while. I do remember after the initial snafu with the frequency of the landing page, it was resolved to once per account as per a dev post.

I can't find any comment from them since as to what broke it again or any acknowledgement/discussion of what is being done to fix it.

Is anyone able to point the way to the right thread here or elsewhere? I can't believe they'd honestly let it lie like this given the furore it caused first time around.

Yeah, well it was "fixed" at one time, and then broke again and was never mentioned again. However, even when they said it was fixed I still saw that landing page at every character login, every time.

Right, so "working" as intended then....it's when they can't get things like this right...

The first time it was fixed, it worked for me. Now I get it at every character change.

I hit the Esc key and go about my business.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Cryptic has been doing very well with regular fixes and improvements - just look at today's 5/23/19 patch notes. It may very well already have a position in line on their fix up list.

While I'd personally like to see it not only work as intended but include a way to disable it as well for those that players who keep up to date in other ways and/or multi-toon I accept that there are some things I can ask for but most likely won't get or can't change.

The entire original thread was a learning experience I for one don't wish to repeat.
