Setting Messages for Fleet Holdings

While I have no problem setting a Fleet message of the Day, the messages I set for individual holdings never 'stick' and always disappear. Is there a trick to get them to stick? I'd appreciate any advice :)

    After you have written your message, don't close or change the Fleet menu......click inside the chat-bar and it will update the message.

    I always found it a really bad way you have to set those messages. There is no 'save' button or something to confirm you're done with editing the messages.

    Also , going back to a certain point in the messages is difficult, since the cursur isn't moving, you can only see where in the message you are, by typing something.
