Does T6 Rep improve Rep gear?

I had read about T6 rep when it came out, thought I knew what was included. Didn't rush to complete it, so just hit various T6's recently.

When you claim your T6 completion, there is a popup that gives you 2 options for "What does T6 offer" and "What did I unlock" or words to that effect.

I read the "What does T6 offer" one, and this line was included in it:

"All Gamma Force reputation project weapons have increased in damage effectiveness."

I don't recall seeing any mention of this in my previous reading, and I don't see that anything in the weapons/project area has gotten more powerful. Is this something I am just missing seeing, or is it just fluff text that has no actual in-game effect?

It's only applicable to actual Project Weapons and it's a 2% damage boost only to those weapons. It highlights this boost on the item descriptions when acquired.

Yes. It'll come up with the 2% bonus even on that Reputation's set piece weapons that were made before Tier 6.
