Okay, I just realized I had a major brainfart. For quite some time. And now I am desperately begging for others to tell me I am not alone in sheer boneheadedness.
I just realized that the name of the mission "Operation Gamma" is not just a random codename, like e. g. "Operation Fast Eddie", but is related to the, well, Gamma Quadrant. According to my logs I first played it October 31st, 2014. I replayed it two dozen times across toons. I talked about it on the forums. Yet, I never realized ...
Anyone else been that quick on the uptake in STO?

I'm sure the GMs are having a good laugh at the ticket I sent in.
The bright side was, at least I purchased the discount, so I wasn't out that much.. but still felt pretty stupid.
I have done that too.

1: The Tvaro Plasma incident: Back in the day when t5 was the top tier of ship I just started to experiment with some escorts and had put together a plasma cannons build. At the time I was using the Romulan Hyper Plasma torp and the console that came with the ship that fired that giant plasma torp. One day I got in the face of a cube and was within 2km of him. I cracked off a high yield from the Hyper Plasma torp and the plasma torp console all at once, and then boom went my ship and the cube both. Let's just say that day I discovered plasma backsplash.
2: Then there's the day I went into a Gateway to Grethor advanced and forgot to load the ship with gear. Thankfully I had some consoles and a basic space set in my inventory at the time, though having to do the queue with stock weapons that came on the ship sucked majorly.
3: Then there's the day I transwarped to a mission without a warp core and my transwarp was already on cooldown from earlier.
needless to say I had to limp back to ESD at the speed of smell which absolutely sucked.

Been there. It's closely related to the Trico bomber BoP backlash.
It's your obsessive-compulsive belief that you are the only 'real' Star Trek fan around here.
Ah ... would that we could actually use that stuff in regular combat!

Happens both ways though....
Practicing Fastest Game On Ice with Jem'Hadar (who runs faster and makes it more difficult for me on the ice). The Snowball Fight starts while she is on the course...and polaron doesn't work on snowmen.
I didn't buy any of my new characters any WW gear because: they are just for practicing. I became more aware of the WW event schedule. LOL!

The other day, I went through my Bank trying to find my Aegis Shield because I love the skin effect. Couldn't find it, so I ran over to the ship selector and went ship by ship looking for it. I found it in the Visuals section. I removed it and it vanished. I did that on every ship. I went item by item in my Inventory trying to figure out where it had disappeared to. Then I went back to the bank to look there again. I repeated this entire cycle for, like, fifteen minutes.
Eventually, I remembered that Set is Account Bound and I that had moved it to my Gamma Alt for leveling purposes. Iiiii felt stupid.
1. Trying to argue in ESD with mentally challenged people.
2. Expecting in a ISA pug for someone to parse a run.
3. Getting the Remans with Zen just before they gave em' for free for the Romulan Reputation.
4. Trying to make sense out of the Tzenkethi content.
5. Purchasing stuff just before the market crashed on those items.
6. Trying to argue that the NPC FBP is a broken mechanic and it punishes the user for being a performer.
7. Trying to explain to end users why they should contribute to this game, directly or indirectly.
8. Trying to make my away team as a team of meleers.
lol
I raise that by 5 and make it 10 for the price of 1 in my case.

I won a 25th Century Dread in a raffle. Sold it for 1.5 Billion EC. How did I use those EC you ask? I bought some lockbox ships I always wanted to try and a lobi ship for one character. The vast majority of it though I burned on R&D promo boxes because my stupid pig brain thought that if I got just one more promo ship I could double my imagi-wealth! I bought hundreds of millions worth of them off the exchange.
I got nothing.
Never came close to that EC wealth ever again. I still got a nine-figures iron reserve but this endeavour wasn't worth oink.
