DOFF Reversed TBR vs Multi-target Tractor Array?

Is TBR reversed with a DOFF superior to Multi-Target Tractor Array or is it just preferred because it doesn't take a console slot?

I've seen reversed TBR mentioned in a couple of control discussions but not MTA and wondered why.

    That makes perfect sense.

    I didn't know you could reverse TBR with DOFFs 'til recently and have both on my Rom Sci.

    Firing both together in a group of enemies (solo run, no worries about someone else's targeting) causes this amazing bouncing, shredding visual effect. I'm not suggesting this as a tactic, mind you. It just gives me the giggles during a fight sometimes.
