1. There is no wave animation (or pause, for that matter) upon interact with the Race Official at the start of the race.....but there is still a pause before the countdown and player is no longer rooted. This causes multiple racers to spawn on top of each other at the starting line.

2. Racers spawn too close to, if not over the other side of, the FINISH banner at race start. I could have sworn we were closer to the START banner before. This causes players finishing the race to dodge players starting the race, which is complicated if multiple players are spawning for race start.

Something I noticed yesterday....the dialog with the Race Official still pops up...the one about waiting for the course to be clear of previous contestant. But the program will set your character right on top of the previous contestant, anyways.

I am wondering if this has something to do with a change in zoom on the character when they get teleported to the starting line. Even though, I have to say it still looks like the program is lining us up under the Finish banner.

    Edit: added screen shot.

Noticed while running the races last night: when multiple racers spawn on top of each other at the starting line....the program will only spawn one NPC "opponent" for the multiple "contestants" at the starting line. There are less players running the race, so not sure how often something like this happens.

I don't like running without an opponent, so I disqualified and started over. I was the first one on the track.

And I did not notice if the NPC disappeared when I disqualified, so not sure if the program spawned the NPC for me (first on track) or for the second contestant.

@frtoaster you got WW time this weekend? Is this on Tribble? I would hate to mess with this while someone was actually doing their race.

OK... I took a screen shot of the Start line.... https://imgur.com/wkryu1F

That is my Jem'Hadar at the Race Official. She has the "Signal Race Official" button and it is active.
The other player is "rooted" in place as the countdown is going....

I could click on "Signal Race Official", right now....and land on top of the other player before they can even move.

Odd thing is: the Race Official still has his little dialog that should be there instead of the active "Signal Race Official" button. That is that in the other screen shot here: https://i.imgur.com/TjFZV1u.jpg

I believe this is the order for this stuff:

Contestant 1.... click active "Signal Race Official" button. Get "rooted" and transported to the Start/Finish line.....pick up the NPC opponent....countdown/"ready, set, go"....."rooted" removed, run.

Contestant 2....get dialog from Race Official: "A contestant is ready to begin. New race will be available shortly". Until Contestant 1 gets to run. Then the "Signal Race Official" button activates for Contestant 2.

Then, Contestant 2....goes through the steps...

I think they just forgot to remove or change the timing of the message when they shortened the delay between races.
    Waiting for a programmer ...
