Two interact buttons for Mission Starts....???

This is an odd thing I have not seen previously...I am seeing two interact buttons at systems where a mission is taking place.

I am doing missions with my AoD...so they are Federation Missions. So far, I have seen two versions of this:

This one was when I had to stop a mission so I could leave the game for a bit to get something to eat. When I came back to restart mission....I had both interacts: "Begin Researcher Rescue" and "Continue: "Into the Fire".
It usually just gives me the one where I can continue the mission from where I left off.

This one was at the start of the mission "Doomsday Device". It is at Donia System....there is a patrol there. When I click on "Begin: Doomsday Device" the program will also start "Patrol Donia System". BOTH missions end up in my Mission Tracker and on the "In Progress" listing.

Even though, I click on the "Doomsday Device" mission and am in the mission. We don't have patrols over on the KDF side. Not sure this is normal.

I've noticed both of these. I believe the extra option to begin Researcher Rescue when you already have it in progress is new, but the Doomsday device also starting the patrol has been going on at least since 2012, and probably earlier. The same thing happens with one of the Reman arc missions, I think Frozen, for Feds, where it also starts the patrol mission for that system.
