Entering some DSEs causes CTD

Exactly what it says. On my main-Jacob@echatty-I've CTD twice trying to get into DSEs

Once it was Intelligence Disaster the other day and the other was just now Assimilate the Barbarians, both in the Beta Quadrant.

Anyone else experiencing this?

It isn't all of them, as one of my alts-Lilly@echatty-did two in the Alpha Quadrant earlier with no problems. And Jacob was able to get into another Beta Quadrant DSE successfully.

Here's the fatal error report I got: Fatal Error: Failed to load data for map: either the data does not exist on disk (failed to patch) or the crc or version number of the data on disk does not match what the code is expecting.

Technical Details map
'Maps/Deep_Space/Season_10/Deepspace_Kill/Deepspace_Kill_02/Deepspace_Kill_02_Zone"
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

After doing some rounds of other DSEs, it appears to be these three that are causing the problem, with the same error message above, with different numbers for different maps, obviously.

Intelligence Disaster, Salvage Operations and Assimilate the Barbarians

@echatty, please try my post in the following thread: https://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline#/discussion/1244067/age-of-discovery-won-t-launch

I encountered the same problem with the DS9 map and found a work-around.

Hope it helps you like it did me and several other players.

Just for anyone else who is experiencing this, this is what was in the other thread that fixes the problem:
    Technical Details: map
    "Maps/Planets/Crd/Crd_Ds9_Ground/Crd_Ds9_Ground.Zone"'

What fixed the problem for me:
    1. In the Launcher UI, before logging in, click the "Options" link towards the top right.
    2. In the "Patching" section, a) click _off_ "On-demand patching" and b) click _on_ "Force verify".
    3. Click the "Save" button and log in.

    NOTES:
    1. If you do not click _on_ "Force verify" in step 2, the change to "On-demand patching" doesn't take. That's what happened to me.
    2. After step 3, expect a very large patch after the verification step completes. This fixed the missing or invalid DS9 map for me.
    3. If you want to re-enable "On-demand patching" after you've successfully loaded your toon, you can do so the next time you see the Launcher UI. I did this and am still able to load into DS9.

Stuff that didn't work for me:
    2. Attempting to "fix" the map problem by Docking at DS9 with a successfully loaded toon (FED unjoined Trill). This just caused another of my toons to be locked out of the game.
    3. Force verifying the game files without turning off "On-demand patching".
    4. Trying to load into Safe Mode.

Hope this helps some of you to get into the game.

Mine is just over half done patching, I'll test it out on one of the troublesome DSEs when it finishes.

And just to let everyone know, it worked. I got into one of the troublesome DSEs with no problems. Thank you!
