Leaving the ship's bridge into space plays transporter animation

This is really immersion-breaking: When you are on your ship in space and get to your bridge, you spawn at your bidge's spawnpoint (which, oddly enough, is not near the captain's chair for some reason), and when you then return to the space view, the game shows your character beaming out instead of something like zooming in on the ship's bridge screen or simply switching maps without the animation.

This just looks so loveless and it obviously is a bug.


Yes, I know. A very old one. I first saw it in January 2012 when I started playing. But seriously, it cannot be impossible to fix, can it?

    It's not a bug, just how the game works. We don't have another mechanic to transition from a ground map to a space map.

    Noooo...don't change it...the program may get more confused!!
    We will be beaming in with parts of other characters fused together!!!

    J/K LOL!

    This seems a very frivolous use of Dev time. But, I guess, no harm in asking it to be added on to the pile.
