The two consoles that boost damage in forward and rear 90” arc, any good? Do they interact with mine

Anyone know what type of damage boost the consoles are that boost damage in the forward and rear 90 arc? Cat1 or cat2? The Biased Configuration Modulator and the Morphogenic Matrix controller. Do they interact with mines and are those consoles any good?

You know I have no idea how to make these You Tube links work right on this forum.

Anyhoo...for the information of the type you are looking for...look for the Gamer Dudes out on You Tube doing these Star Trek Online videos. There are a few who still review this stuff all the time....gear, ships, they take you through new missions, too.

And STO BUILDS Reddit. Lots of information and drilling down of the gear and ships and mechanics and builds. If you want to talk that sort of stuff...that would be the place.

Thank you. I have given up on the Morphogenic Matrix controller and the set as its broken. The cooldown doesn't work, none of the damage boosts look like they are working for mines either the set power or the 90 rear arc power.

Morphogenic Armaments (and Matrix Controller that belongs into it) is one of the most powerful sets they've released. I wouldn't call it exactly meta changer, cause it relies you on waiting many seconds to properly ramp up the buffs, having necessary amounts of tactical slots (both boff and console) and slotting a torpedo, but this console makes polaron builds an extremely powerful choice.

Granted, I didn't test mines, so don't know about those, but set bonus seems to work totally fine for me. CD recharge worked as intended and I saw my turrets do higher numbers against rear enemies.


Can't comment anything on Biased Configuration Module as I likely will never obtain it. Tooltip wording seems to indicated cat1 buff though.
