Gamma Recruits timeframe different on PC vs Console

bmcd73bmcd73 Member Posts: 263 Arc User
I play on the Xbox but previously played on the PC since beta. I've been looking over the objectives of the Gamma recruits and they seem pretty steep given the timeframe and especially since the console gets a week less time than the PC to complete. First, are the dates correct?

On the PC they had 43 days to complete (Jun 5 through Jul 18)
On the Console we have 35 days to complete (Jun 24 through Aug 28)

I've always completed the recruit events in the specified timeframe. To "get credit" for the rewards do they need to be completed during the event or can they be completed outside of the event as long as they were started before the event ends?

My understanding is that all the objectives have to be completed during the event period. If that is the case then there are 3 major completion points:
90 spec points = this seems like a LOT to complete in 35 days. I've been playing pretty hard on my JH and I think I have 10.
3 Admiralty at 10 = that shouldn't be a problem
Level 4 in 6 Commedations = this is the real prize in my mind but this seems nearly impossible. I've been doffing throughout the day every day, all day on the weekend, I have CXP bonuses and I am at 1.5 in about 3 so far. I work from home so I have the ability to get into my account during the day. Normal people maybe have a few hours a night max.

Again, if I can still get credit for these objectives AFTER the event ends then we are good. But that isn't my understanding. Can anyone confirm that we can get credit for objectives AFTER the event ends?

You only need to get the device during the reward period. You can then complete the objectives whenever you want from then on.

Were you here for the Delta and Temporal events? Just like them you only need to reach the point where you get your communicator device, which takes an hour or two.

Lol the delta thing. I made 3 toons and skipped the training. I didn't realise you had to do the training lol

Yup, you have to do the training or you won't get your transponder.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Gamma Recruits finishes on the 5th of Sept.

Ok...this post is irrelevant then. I've completed all the Delta and Temporal event objectives by the time the event ended (because I thought that was how it worked) so I wasn't sure. If you just have to create the toon and you still get credit after the event then that is totally cool and I just didn't understand. Good to know!

    Thanks for all the replies!

    NO!

You must complete the tutorial episodes and receive your recruit's device, just like with delta and temporal. Just creating the character is NOT enough.

Dave is right. Like I said above. The toon must receive their transponder to be considered a recruit. After that, you can take your time with the objectives.

I assumed this but thanks for clarifying. It may not be clear to new people. I have a few friends I am trying to talk into jumping in now because of the event and I didn't make this clear to them either so I will need to follow up with them so they understand they need to go through the tutorial and get their device.
