228 uncommon 128 rare and 44 very rare.
Yeah i know there is people who open 10 boxes or less and get epic or ultra rare but seriously that drop rate is a joke.

They are "RNG" boxes. They're not "gamble" boxes - you're not getting $ out of them. (and since you're getting them for in-game currency, you're not putting $ into them, either.)
I mean, if your definition of "gamble box" is just that it's an RNG thing with a prize, then so are hourly rep reward boxes, crafting material boxes from queues, Endeavor boxes..... heck, just getting drops from enemies would count, the "box" being the ship you blew up that dropped a random piece of gear.
If you get unlucky enough to get one of those danged VR, UR, or even an Epic token, they are easily tradeable for an ever larger number of upgrade tokens.
So, where's the gamble ?

Do you have any idea how much raw upgrade value he got out of that? Every one of those VRs is worth four uncommons.
OP may not have gotten the T6 ship they might have been after but they won't have to worry about upgrades for a very long time. Phoenix boxes are a bare minimum a 1:1 return on investment. If you get even a single drop above uncommon, that ratio only improves.
If you want to whine about normal lockboxes, go ahead, but you look like an idiot trying to call the Phoenix boxes gambling.

Nice streak, but yeah you just used up a decades worth of luck...
T5 bug ship would be my recommendation unless you already own the T5 or a T6 bug ship. Owning that and if you ever get the JHD pack will allow you to get Bug Ship Pets for use.
None of the T6 ships are must have or have any traits that are must have, that you would want to use if you have a nice selection of ship traits to choose from.
If you dont need T5 bug ship... get T5 voth carrier.
This time I am looking for Rare Tokens anyway for the Kobali Uniform for a few of my Characters.

I've never gotten above a VR, but my total opened across all events probably isn't above 200. (no big deal, I think I have all the event ships, so I'm just missing some non-event T5s)
No it's not. That's a very reasonable drop you have there.
That's the thing, half the T6 ships I have and the other half I don't really care for. I'm thinking of banking the epic in case they put more T6's in or something.
Yep, I have all the Elite ships from the events, so I've been hanging on to the Elite token "just in case" since the first Phoenix event. I did use an UR to get the Jem'Hadar T5 for a character with the JHDC.
Anyways... back on topic... I have yet to get my hands on either an Epic or UR token. Highest I've ever had was VR.

If you're buying Phoenix boxes for anything other then Upgrade Kits you're doing it wrong.
The Epic is a bonus, not the main objective. Opening boxes just for the chance at the Epic is madness.
As other posters have saud however i have never bought them for the epic....its all about the upgrades....the epic was a total bonus.
