The terrans aren't traitors just because they come from an ideologically different universe.
And if the station is getting shot to bits then can't be much combat happening.
My toon would call blasting those Terrans removing the competition (he's from a different faction within the Empire who wants Leeta dead), I tend to brawl near the rifts and keep the traitors on me so everyone else can do their jobs
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Playing as a Terran, I've decided that defending an alien space station is not in my interest. My focus is on killing those Terran traitors instead (the Romulan station is expendable)
I feel ya Raven. Playing as a Pride Lander admiral (ex-Starfleet) meant that Vauthil wasn't an important asset to Simba and Nala's faction. My focus is the same as yours. Why would I care about some backwater Rommie station?
"Simba, you have forgotten me. You have forgotten who you are … you are my son and the one true king." (Mufasa)
Enemies need to be toned down a bit, it's not fun getting insta shredded by the enemy. I went from full shields and hull to boom in a matter of seconds.
No wonder people AFK this

The instabooms either come from a quantum torp spread thats often invisible or the escorts that can spam rapid fire almost the instant they pop out a rift.
Or going by the damage history no significant damage happened you just went from full to death by some quirk of the galaxy.
On the other hand players are forced to button mash to get abilities to trigger just once and some like miracle worker will go on cooldown but not actually provide the heal they're meant to.

I would prefer a mirror ground invasion event. The only ground event right now is Sompek and which seems to be more popular than the space events.
Indeed. And you know how 'Assault on Terok Nor' is assumed to be taking place during 'Counterpoint' (i.e. the AoTN players are one of those assault teams that Counterpoint players are ferrying over)? Similar logic can apply here, just change the MI briefing to note that the initial Terran force did get teams aboard before being shown the door; naturally, station security is dealing with them in good order. This theoretical ground queue assumes the players volunteered to help the security teams while others are dealing with the Terrans' main force, and would be a fairly straightforward sweep-and-clear, culminating in a battle with the assault team commander and his/her squad. There are six of these, two per career track, from which each instance picks one (much like how MI itself has X different dreadnoughts).
As for how to make the event more interesting... first, I would suggest the creation of multiple maps, representing various areas of Vauthil Station; each instance of this event picks one at random. Each map would naturally have its own set of bonus objectives.

No I didn't. It is probably there. Thanks.
One thing to note before you try and get it for a lowbie, unlike the pistols from the previous MI the torp is at mk12 when claimed.
