Xbox anniversary ship giveaway question

I have a few toons at 60 and a bunch 35 or under. I can claim the free anniversary giveaway ship on my 60s but not on any of my lower level toons. My understanding is they need to be 40 to claim.

Will there be a way to claim the ship on these other toons once they hit 40 after this anniversary event giveaway? I'm not talking about the ship you get from slotting it, I'm talking about the freebie they just give away for the anniversary.

From what everyone is saying, it can apparently only be claimed during the event. Any characters created after the event will not be able to get it unless the event is run again.

If what I saw is true, once the giveaway period is done, the ship will no longer be available to claim. Normal (on the PC) if a ship is given away in the promo tab it remains to be claimed later. However, I would err on the side of caution and get the toons levelled. But, it does not take long to level to 40.

Any time there is a ship giveaway in STO your character's level must be high enough to actually use the ship in order to claim it. Therefore, that means your characters need to be at least level 40 in order to claim the T6 Lukari Ho'Kuun Science Vessel.

Ship giveaways typically last 3 days; usually starts on a Friday and ends on a Monday at around 9am PST. At least that is what I remember. Leveling up a character to level 40 actually does not take very long even if you wait until the ship is available to be claimed. However, if you have a lot of characters, then getting them all to level 40 could before the giveaway ends could be a problem. The best advice I can give is to start leveling up your characters to level 40 because once the event ends, then you will no longer be able to claim the ship.

It was to my understanding you only need "ONE" Character to claim it in order for it to be account unlocked. Meaning if you unlock it with one toon, it will be available to the others after the event is over, when they reach an appropriate level to claim and use.

This of course if Console mimics PC users, if it is different, I advised to play the PC version of STO.

The thread about the giveaway says it isn't an account-wide unlock.

It's not an account unlock, however. You'll have to claim each one individually, and you can't discard it without losing it forever.

How is that possible? Is it a CStore ship? Anniversary ship? As stated before, all ships are account unlock unless it is coming from a Lock Box or the Phoenix prize boxes.

Ok I see, console is way different from PC, as that particular vessel is a account unlock on PC. I say ditch console and go PC & save yourself the headache.

I failed to see why Cryptic made those particular ships character base only, unless their Phoenix prize packs include ships that are not normally found in the PC version. As to my knowledge, the Lukari Ho'kuun vessel is not part of the PC Phoenix prize pack.

They'll probably put the flying Dorito in the PC Phoenix box in the near future for those new players who missed out on the anniversary event.

this is not a c-store ship... this on PC is an event reward ship that you had to grind for. for consoles it is a giveaway ship, that you can claim on the promo tab in the c-store. once promo period is over, ship goes away.

grind till your toons are Lvl 40. afterwards, the ship will probably be in the phoenix loot box, it was originally stated to be in it earlier but was removed I guess due to it being givenaway for consoles.
