Okay since you asked me about my builds and it is a LOT easier to post in this format over chat...

The PvE morrigu I used first is a fleet T6 morrigu.

It uses the starship traits from the tactical command battlecruiser, the malem, the tactical scimmy, the temporal raider and the morrigu.

The tactical command BC and temporal raider reduces cooldowns for sce and eng abilities. The malem one makes my CSV last longer. The scimmy one gives me extra damage and more crit goodness. And the morrigu one is a super powerful energy reducer.

The boff abilities I use is

Cmdr tac: TS1, APB 1, CSV 2, CSV3
Lt tac: TS1, APB 1
LTC eng: EPtA 1, Aux2ID 1, EptW 3
Ens Sci: Hazard 1
LTC uni (sci): SSV 1, ES 1, GW 1

I am a crafted single cannon and dual heavy wide arc with dmg/crtd/rapid in the front with a quad plasma cannon and a PEP torp and three crafted turrets with the same mods in the rear.

I use the solanae impulse, deflector and shield with a fleet amp core.

All tact slots use vul locators

Sci slot uses the temporal console from butterfly and the other one is actually kinda there as a place holder.

Eng slots are plasmonic (because it's still good), the valdore console, the morrigu console (because the two piece bonus on this ship is amazing), and the reactive RCS with controlX.

The traits that are important is the astrometric torp trait to reduce sci cooldowns when I use torp buffs to get my ES to global, the SIF leech trait and advanced engine to turn faster.

The PvE scimmy I used is the T6 tactical scimmy

The Starship traits I used is almost the same as morrigu except that I use improved petal to the metal instead of wittering barrage. But that is scheduled to get replaced with the tact MW trait as soon as I level that up.

The weapons are 4 crafted crtd/dmg/over AP beam array with the missles from the kentari mission in the front and 3 crafted beam array in the rear.

The boff set up is

Cmdr Tac: TS1, BFAW2, BFAW3, APB3
Lt Tac: TS1, APB 1
LT Eng: EPtA1, EptW2
Lt uni(sci): hazard 1, ES 1
Ltc uni(sci) SSV1, Tykens 1, GW 1

Tact slots all vul locators.

Sci slots is temporal console from butterfly again, plasmonic and that same place holder clickie console that I can't remeber the name or where you get it from.

Eng slots is reactive RCS, fleet RCS (because this ship lumbers), valdore console.

Same traits are important in this build.

Now please note that these are my for fun ships and not even remotely close to optimal. If I wanted to do that, I use more of the lobi store consoles for even more critty goodness and things like suprememcy with my withering barrage so that I can free up my ensign tact station for distrubitive targeting and use OSSx2 on the morrigu. Also both are set to be tact/sci hybrids...which is once again not the best way to go about things...especially for PvP where you really should specialize. Also for PvP, get those competitive rep engines at least. They are the single most improvement at keeping you alive in PvP you can get...especially for escorts.

Now for your build. Your damage resist wasn't actually bad. It was a respectable for entry level PvP. Your DPS on the otherhand was not. You couldn't even eat through my temp HP. Those torps will do pretty much NOTHING when i still have shields. If you are going to be so torp heavy, you need a way to strip shields...and KEEP it stripped. Since most PvPers will have shield heals, it's quite hard to do actually. Which brings me to your drain and control resists. If you are going to PvP...get some. My tykens ripped your shield in 3 seconds...that means you basically have no drain resist. And my GW was sucking you in before my PEP torps hit you...which once again shows lack of control resist. These are SUPER imporant in PvP. If you get a torp or two for your build, make sure they are there for a reason. For example, my PEP torps makes things lose impulse power and in an area in a TS...which means they get sucked into my relatively weak GW1. Those damage torps you have pretty much are useless. Use energy weapons for damage. Or at least grab something like the romulan hypers so the BFAW shots gets used up on other targets.

So since you are willing to toss money at things...some things I would recommend spending zen on.

1) The valdore and vandel. These are T3 ships but they have two really good console to use at any level.

2) The battlecruiser pack. That is the one with the arbiter, kurak and morrigu. The trait these ships comes with is pretty much a must have for any serious energy DPS ships.

3) The 31st cent temporal ship set. While I only use the ship trait form the raider, the sci one can be good too in a lot of builds. The cruiser is one of the better cruisers actually as well. And these are added to all toons for admiralty.

4) The command battlecruiser pack. They are all decent cruisers to fly, but you really want the tact one for each faction. So if you want to save some money, just get the tact ones.

5) If you want to make some cruiser DPS ships, the MW bundle is pretty much a must.

This shopping list is good for anyone interested in doing some DPSing...and that is the order to get things. Why is the cruiser 5th? Because I like escorts. If you are interested in cruisers, move the MW bundle to 3rd and temporal ships to last. If you wanna build sci ships...yeah...that is another story entirely.

This was a pretty cool explanation - even though I'm not Pryor lol
One thing - I'm horrible at acronyms (has often made my life a living hell) so could you translate the following please:
    PEP
    CSV
    APB
    SSV

    TS is Torp Spread right?

I think I know all the others/was able to figure them out, but these ones are messing with my brain big time right now.
    Thanks lol

    LOL ah ok thank you!
HAHAHA Oh, believe me I'm used to hearing spoken acronyms too, they drive me f-ing crazy! I grew up Mormon so about half of our entire social interaction was based around acronyms- written and spoken..... made my life a living hell like I said LOL.

But we have gotten so use to it, it's like a secret code we can't break :) .

HAH! A code you yourselves can't break! Where's that Dianna Troy teaching Alexander to attitude laugh meme when you need it.

Thanks for all the tips, coldnapalm. I really appreciate it and I hope pryor learned a thing or two himself.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

cold, what about using the hyper torp with the zed point consile for the projectile boost instea d of the pep? or are you using the pep more for the control effect?

I am using PEP because those with a TS will cause anything hit to get sucked into my GW1. Without the PEP, the GW 1 is kinda useless still...even after the small boost it got after being nerfed into oblivion. If I wasn't going hybrid and going more all tact, I would swap out the PEP for a hyper with the ZPC and switch my LTC to be OSS1, ES1, OSS3. and the TS is replaced with HY. At least unless I am using supremecy with withering barrage...in which case, it's polorize hull 1, OSS2, OSS3 and the TS becomes distribute targeting 1 x2. And for PvP, I would use rapid fire at this point over CSV. Course in that case, I would also switch to iconian set over solanae. Like I said, these builds are more for funsies and is full of not really optimal choices...however they are full of synergies to show off how you can start to think about your own builds. Nothing in my builds are there unsupported. Everything works off other things :) .

:D:D:D I can't decide if I hate you right now, if you hate me :p

ZPC is zero point console. Romulan rep. is a nice plasma damage set bonus with the hyper torpedo or the beam if you use beams.

OSS is overide system safeties. Basically what you want intel seating for. Super powerful ability that boost max energy and current energy. Gradually goes down and when the bonus reaches zero, a randon system goes offline.

LOL thanks :) you didn't have to explain but I appreciate it. I was just teasing.

I find your Morrigu build rather interesting. However, why those 3 mods? I was led to believe that dmg was the least desirable and critd the most desirable, so wouldn't critdx3, critdx2/pen or critdx2/rapid be more desirable? Also, did you craft your wide arc yourself, and if so at 20hrs craft time how many tries did it take to get those mods?

I was led to believe that dmg was the least desirable and critd the most desirable

This was once true, but was eventually changed.

The DMG mod received a severe buff and now is one of the 3 most desiarable mods up there with CrtD and PEN. For many builds, DmG is superior to CrtD but for the most part, they are considered equal and both tied for 2nd behind Pen.
    Insert witty signature line here.

Thanks, that explains the dmgx4 build I saw for the intel dread. So dmg/critd/rapid makes sense now.

    Edited.

Quite the concise explanation, but it gives me some insight where to go mod wise on your build. Thanks for your response. :)
