Constitution Refit skin not working for C-Store Cruiser Refit

evilhenchman1evilhenchman1 Member Posts: 5 Arc User
The Constitution Refit skin is an option for the C-Store Cruiser Refit but when that skin is selected for that ship, after clicking "Purchase" (it's free) and then clicking "Ok", a message appears on the screen stating "Outfit uses invalid parts.".

Try clicking randomize, saving it. And then try selecting the refit skin you want again. That's how it works with uniforms at least when you get the "invalid parts" message.

I tried your suggestion. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. Thanks though.

Which C-Store ship are you trying on? I'm having some trouble understanding which ships you're talking about.

I'll try to re-create it and see if I get the error, and maybe if I can work around it somehow.

It is simply called "Cruiser Refit" or Exeter Class if you prefer. It's a Lieutenant Commander Cruiser.

I'm pretty sure this issue is because of the new skin for the Constitution Refit. Apparently it has bugs galore.

I tested this and its working fine, did you tried to put it on drydock and reclaim it?, sometimes that fix it (it did for me on a few ships), as i just claimed that ship and the TMP refit skin is ok

    Yup, working for me too.

If what above mentioned does not work, if you have a good internet connection. You could try to uninstall the game all togheter. And download and patch it while you sleep. Since it takes a while.

But should be last effort, try to dry dock it.. Discard it. Verify game files etc first!

Well after reading the last two posts in this thread it's obvious that the problem is on my end. I tried the discard and the docking thing to no avail so I did a complete reinstall and that fixed the problem. Thanks all.

Just joined up on the PS4.

My interest in playing this game is to command three ships: The classic Constitution Class from the Classic Series; the refit as seen in the classic crew's six films; and the Reliant (I believe called here the Miranda Class) from Wrath of Khan.

I found the Classic Constitution in the Zen store. But what I'm not seeing are those other two ships.

I've read (I think) all the posts pertaining to those ships, but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

The Miranda class is available as a skin for the Reliant Class.
Here's the name.. You should find it in the ship vendor, I think it's in the C-Store but I don't remember.

The Constitution Refit as seen in the movies is available as a skin for the Temporal Light Cruiser, but it's a bit more difficult to obtain. Since it's part of a R&D limited lockbox, and it's very hard to win... You can buy it from the exchange, search for the name "Temporal Light Cruiser" or something, but it'll most likely be very expensive.

Those I linked are T6 ships, the Miranda is available as a T1 ship and the Constitution Refit as a T2.. So you can use them early on in the game, but they aren't really suited for endgame. Unless you get the T6 variants I posted.
