For the Winter Event they are : Andorian Sleigh Bells, Bajoran Gratitude Beeds, Bolian Candles,Targ Fur Earmuffs, Vulcan Incense, Terran Ornament, and Broken Ornament (turned in at a ratio of 5 for any of the other at the Holiday Vendor (random "reward" in exchange for them).
As far as I know, only the "broken" one is new..all the others have been the same for some number of years now. Hope this helps - sorry if any are misspelled or not 100% correct (mind goes fuzzy sometimes =p).

*edited to add missing Bolian Candles - thanks @markhawkman!

Not sure what the issue is. What the commodities are seems pretty straight forward.

None. They are only found with "All."

If/when that feels like working right.

Thanks warpangel - that was my question.

I'd like to see them labeled. Saves me time having to copy/paste. ;)

I appreciate that you took the time to type them all in. ;) But yeah I was looking for a way to make it easier to see all of them when searching the exchange.

There are a few things that can only be found under "All". Very annoying. It's one reason why I can't consider Cryptic to be a 'Pro' team, but more a AAA or AA team. They have little errors like this all over and leave them for years. I assume they have some parts of the game they couldn't fix even if they tried! I want to say I saw somewhere someone say something like... "Well, Joe programmed X and then he left, and no one here can figure out how he did X." :D

The exchange needs several sub-categories. Like you said annual event currencies; also reward boxes should be split up in space ships, shuttles, outfits and misc at least.

Its not like they cannot do; they cannot do like flipping a switch and that is why they are not allowed to do unless it breaks the game for too many players. New stuff bring in the money, not fixing the old stuff. At least it feels that way more often than not.

Ironically I have become very very reluctant to spend money because of that perceived mantra. Burned to often in the past and paying premium bucks for stuff that does not get premium after care... nope; does not sit well.

If you don't know their names, some of the fleet projects require them. try looking there for a list. Or try looking on the wiki.

Not having sections for everything wouldn't be a problem by itself. I personally wouldn't even want to put up separate sections for every little thing. Look at Master Keys being a section all by themselves, that's useless.

The real problem is the "All" section doesn't work right half the time, returning only items that have been on the ex for a long time (=too overpriced to sell).

But overall, the exchange is long overdue for a total overhaul. It needs more detailed search parameters (boffs/doffs by traits, gear by mods, etc), a sales report tab to replace the mail spam, removing the price cap, more robust handling of bulk items for both sellers and buyers, ability to re-price items without pulling them first, one-click relisting of expired sales instead of having to make room to pull the items out of the mail and trying to guess what price they were at (or just not expiring sales at all), etc...

And either a raise of the EC cap to 4 billion at a minimum or the ability to post items for trade with keys.

For this discussion, I would remove the "remove price cap" issue, since that would definitely influence the exchange system. It may or may not be a change for the better, but all the other things are just convenience issues.

The very existence of the exchange is "just a convenience issue" if you choose to think it that way.
