rassa-frassa-snurgle-frassem!!

Okay, the guys in the Bird of Prey League (that's a little community organized effort down in the Klingon Ghetto-aka Klingon threads in 'feedback'), feeling the need to spread the joy that is Raider Flying to a wider audience (an effort inspired by Cryptic's constant tries to get Feddies into Raiders no doubt) Opened their PvE challenge club to Feds about a week ago.

If this is news to any of you who might've been interested, they've closed the doors to you Feddies due to lack of interest on your part.

Just...so you know this happened, it was and is a thing, people getting together in what are often deemed the flimsiest non-shuttle ships in the game, and kicking the TRIBBLE out of all that content so very many lockbox DPS Warriors have to have a Scimitar or Partigen-sci-ship or some other massive gimmick to even complete.

Now, if Interest were shown to the fine organizers who generously offered to open the doors to you Blue-side types, I'm sure they could be persuaded to let you in.

aw hell, who am I kidding? nevermind, return to your tasks...nothing to see down there...

And this, folks, is why you shouldn't post on anything after drinking 2 gallons of vodka.

Remember anything 150 proof or higher should be used of motor vehicle fuel and not as food.

At what point could Federation captains fly Raiders? I'd have to create a KDF character, get it up to using T5-U equipment, expend Dilithium to bring the ship up to par, and then fly in circles in PVE queue missions I don't play in the first place. Yeah, loads of fun. Could we go bowling afterward?

I was curious....it was the title. LOL!

    Nothing to see in here.
Seriously, the Feds aren't even interested that they got uninvited to something.

I invited everyone to my house and offered $4,000 just for walking through the door. And the window of opportunity lasts a whole gosh-darn week.

And I told exactly no one but the fence post.

Truly amazing no one turned up to claim their loot.

$4000? Pfff, cheapstake! You won't even be able to afford a MACO outfit with that in the 2017 dil market.

I have 3 KDF captains and 2 Rom-KDF, but I had no idea about this challenge.

Like the hyperspace bypass, the plans were on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.”

I'm a Fed Engineer, flying in both my Baltim Heavy Raider, as well as my Na'Kuhl raider. No need to be Klingon for that. And the only time I hear 'klink', is when my ship runs into a drunk poster. :P

Malem?(Spellling) Lockbox ship-used to be pretty popular for about two weeks...lol
Not sure what you're thinking of. The Malem is the T-6 T'Varo. It's not a lockbox.

[Mei-mei reminded me-there's also the Na'Kuhl raider that isn't the Baltim, apparently...meh, more lockbox stuffs for Feds trying to be BoPs...]

The Herald Baltim Heavy Raider, as the name says, is the only heavy raider I know of, flyable by Feds, and comes with Improved Raider Flanking. It sports no less than 4 Universal stations (normal for a raider), plus a Tact Commander station. That's as close as it gets to perfection on Fed(cross)-side, I think.

ahem, Plesh Brekh. The Baltim has the same raider flanking mechanic that the PB debuted with-the so called 'heavy raider' mechanic (35% flanking bonus instead of 25%) Five seats is typical for non-cloaking cross-faction raiders. (Bird of Prey types run four universals ONLY, plus lower base hull and shields.)

Go figure, Plesh Brek Heavy Raider is the only ship I never got. :P Now I kinda regret it.

AND a LtCm Intel BOFF seat...
AND an enhanced Subspace Jump console...
I've been keeping an eye on the Exchange prices. Looking to get one for my Fed.

Baltim is a nice ship. I was going to get one for my KDF main, but then D4x dropped so I bought a Baltim and flipped it to afford that sweet Pilot BoP. Still plan on picking him up one eventually.

Yeah, that Ambush console is great; especially for Raiders, of course. It comes with a passive +25% cannon dmg too.

The Baltim is a very worthy ship. The only reason I don't use it anymore on my Fed is because I wanted to try a new style of gameplay other than escort with the Vengeance and I ended up enjoying it, while also gaining a D4x for my KDF.

The D4x is pretty much the Baltim with a battle cloak, pilot maneuvers, cool wings animations and awesome set bonuses (though I find its own console kinda meh).
The Baltim's advantages over the D4x are still a better hull, a more useful trait (you regen shields when hitting enemies from behind), a great console and an improved raider flanking. Plus, you can still get a cloak thanks to the intel station.
