I was curious what everyone consider the most "
alien " looking ship so to say.
While there is a valid argument to be had about the validity of alien designs when everything was made by human imagination, there's also an argument to be made regarding H.R. Giger bio-mechanical designs in the same breath. This part was really just counter-discussion if someone was thinking that line

In '
our real time ' so to say, we're mostly used to the all-famous Saucer style of extraterrestrials, and I've always been amused by the delightful irony that Starfleet just about exclusively style their ships with Saucers. Most notable example of these would be the Galaxy's detach ability and it's sister-line ships the Nebula class (
calling it a sister ship may be practically incorrect but it's theoretically correct since Galaxy and Nebula contains the same parts just different designs ). However, I don't really consider the saucer style myself as that alien.
The Voth Bulwark Carrier reminds me of the Protoss Carrier from StarCraft, just as the Klingon Battlecruiser reminds me of the Terran Battlecruiser. But I do enjoy the Bulwark's design, but alien? Hmm.. On the same hand, I don't consider the Breen to be all that alien either but more as someone trying too hard to look cool by only pulling on one side of their pants and leaving the other side hanging. Still a nice design never the less.
The Suliban Cellships
IF they moved I guess I'd consider more akin to something alien, but they suffer the same issue I find the Borg to have - Floating geometric shapes in space.
I do love the Romulan designs of their ships a lot but many - if not all - have very large wings in order to captivate the obvious
Bird of Prey look like a Hawk, or Owl. Would be interesting to see a D'Deridex class without any wings.
Now that I've rambled on about my opinions, what are yours?
I'm asking this because I desire a ship that looks rather peculiar for a character I'm making.
Plus, I am a curious person.
(
I wonder if they'll ever add the TAS-Kukulkan ship :P PS. This is a joke. They most likely would not. )

Honorable mention: old iconian ship models from before their revamp.
That thing was creepy as hell.
Who builds ships with parts that aren't actually attached?
The asymmetrical look of the Breen ships IMO comes closest to the Engineer ships in the Alien franchise. A tad more on the tech than bio looking side.
For me, I hesitate between the Iconian ships, the Xindi-Reptilian Contortrix, the Xyfius (mostly for the hull material that makes it look like it has fur) and the Elachi Monbosh/Ornash (because they're mostly vertically angled ships as opposed to the rest).

As Doug Drexler said, "You're thinking with the ape brain". I think he wanted to make a ship design with the engine pods floating with the ship, which I think is an awesome idea. Working on a design with that myself.
Now the saucer always felt alien to me.
I'd picture something big as a building shunting into a ball of light size of a grapefruit when traveling.
1 : Iconian ( needs no explanation)
2: Breen ( the designs are very different )
3 : Romulan ( Classic romulan designs take on a avian look , yet are very elegant in their designs unlike other ships , romulan ships are like works of art)
Hate they entirely removed that.

Star Trek V: "The Final Frontier"
"Thinking with the ape brain" is exactly what was being asked by the OP, was it not?
I am especially interested in the Iconian ships as the most unusual ones. Though I recall just a year back that Dreadnought Carrier was lit. everywhere as everyone and their mum captain'd it :P
Now, it's just a matter of finding and then being able to afford one of them xP
Also regarding the Engineer ship.. Indeed. One could say a lot about it but it'd all be AO-Rating on that talk.
Which leads me to an off-topic thought that I can only hope that the new Alien: Covenant movie will be good, but I remain skeptical of it because it looks like they're missing the mark judging by the trailer. One can just hope. A shame they never finished and released the game Alien Crucible. The idea of that game is just, so good.

Its completely void of anything we would recognize as being a ship.
You look at it and you wouldn't think it was a ship... until it started chasing you
Or its doughnut-loving cousin
Those are utterly weird looking compared to any other ships and don't even look all that practical as ships (Denuos for example).
But my favourite alien looking ships have to be the Na'kuhl or the Undine ships.
The Undine are obviously grown as they are bioships but the Na'kuhl really do look organic, even more so if you look at the concept art, maybe not living but certainly grown not built.
I might have to hand a few points to the Borg Cube, it's a design that can actually make a lot of sense, while still not seem like something humans would make, at least for a hundred years +.
However my prize for alien-looking design does go to the Iconian Herald ships, they scream vanity in their design due to them having such vast amounts of resources and energy at their disposal they can design ships how ever they like without much concern of practicality so they make them in their own image a bit like flying space masks intended to give anyone that see's them an impression.
Honorable mention goes to the Elachi S'Golth.
^^ That Iconian ship wins, for me, hands down!
My own personal honorable mention goes to the Benthan Assault Cruiser T6. The Devs mistook an alien-looking forward cannon for an aft exhaust pipe, and made it go the wrong way:
On the topic of Xenomorphs and the likes, an interesting fan-possibility of Crossover one could make is regarding the USS Enterprise-B that was " lost " with little to no knowledge regarding it's whearabouts after it contracted an unknown infection . . .
