Just bought the T6 Yamato dreadnought, but I'm not sure what to do with a Commander and a Ltcmdr Engineering seat. Since I have DEM3 on one officer I'm thinking about training the other in Emergency power to auxiliary because if I understand correctly DEM damage is based on aux power level. Or I could train in EMPT Weapons 3 and get more base damage. I know the Ltcmdr Eng seat is a hybrid command specialization seat but A. I've never used command powers aside from the natural ones from the tactical command battlecruiser and B I don't know how to get a command specialization training token.
My current powers on the two seats are
CmdrEng: EPTE1, EPTW2, EngTm3, DEM3
LtcmdrEng: EPTS1, Aux2inertial, RSP2
Any thoughts or advice?

Couple of things...the only boff that comes as command hybrid (barring some c-store or vet perk I'm not aware of) off the bat is the Kobali who's a mission reward from 'Dust to Dust', the Hierarchy officer is Intel hybrid by default. OP, having more than 2 different emergency powers means they'll interfere with each other due to group c/d...the greatest number you can have full uptime with is 2. For command powers, if you use torpedoes or run with people who do, Concentrate Firepower is good (free high-yield firing mode every second or so to a person firing at the marked target). Also good, and available from low rank is Rally Point, which can combine with HE/TSS/RSP or any number of other heals to make you very durable while in it's area of effect. Lastly, and more uncommon, are Overwhelm Emitters (?) and Suppression Barrage.
An example powers layout for the engineering seats might be as such:
EptS 1/RSP 1/EptW 3/Aux2Sif 3
ET 1/DEM 1/Suppression Barrage 1
Or, replace Suppression Barrage with the appropriate rank of Rally Point/Concentrate Firepower for Lt. Com
I don't include Aux2Damp because it shares a c/d with one of your core heals, Aux2Sif, although you could go for more of a mobility setup by replacing EptS with EptE and Aux2Sif with Aux2Damp, and add a doff to Aux2Damp that extends the duration and gives you armor.
A last note, at least from personal experience, is that DEM generally has so little contribution to damage that I either drop it or use it as a trigger for the doff effect of Phemenne (or equivalent), who essentially reduces weapon power drain to zero for 8s.
TY for the fix to my reply. Like I said it's been awhile since I did those missions to get the Boff and once I have them and slotted I kind of shelve what each one does or where I got it. TY again!
This is how I have mine set up if it's any interest to you. It's pretty much a cookie cutter DPS oriented build but it's pretty effective. I have EPTW doubled up because I am running the Arbiter Trait and I want maximum up time for the firing cycle haste, you can obviously change that around how you like. Overall though, it's a pretty solid ship, it pretty much rips anything apart.
The overly heavy Engineering can be a bit much, luckily some of the Command powers have some practical use so the slots don't just go to waste. The ship is limited tactically, but I found that slotting the Reciprocity Trait and drawing fire usually helps keep my Tactical Skills pretty close to Global. It's not perfect of course, but options are limited on the Yamato from a tactical perspective.
As per the usual disclaimer, this is just what works for me, and I am no way claiming my setup is 'best,' just what I like to use. Hope it helps.
