Problem With Character Select Screen

Hi

Does anyone else have this bug and know how to fix it or have any ideas?

I made a bug report about it last year in the bug section and there was no reply so I'm hoping someone here might have a solution.

As you can see two of my Boffs look the same (1st on the left and 2nd from the right, sorry about the small image) even though it shouldn't be.

I've tried changing to other officers and reloading, tried promoting other officers to see if they would take his place on the character select screen) but nothing works and it's the second character it's happened to.

Generally, the BOffs on the selection screen are those you have selected for your Away Team. Try replacing your "problem" BOff and see what happens

Yeah I tried that (ground and space) and it didn't work, all it did was duplicate the newly put in officer lol. Thanks though.

Try changing the costume name for the Boffs. Chances are one of them has an identical name to another.

Identical costume names in the Tailor can result in identical BOFFs displaying on the character select screen. Simply changing the BOFF's costume names can correct the duplication.

That worked, I just renamed the Boff that was missing and also renamed the one that was duplicating and now it's back to normal. (actually most of my costumes have the same name, my user name, so I'm gonna have some tidying up to do lol).

Yeah that did work.

I didn't know this was a known thing, I'd lived with it on my other character for a year lol.

Yeah, I get that bug from time to time. More often is the bug where my captain is dressed in an older uniform of a different design which has definitely been deleted.

A bit annoying, but it's only the load screen. The my captain and Boffs are not affected by either these bugs once the game has been loaded.

You should also notice that your captain will default to your first costume slot if you leave the character on a space map, but will show its currently worn costume if you leave it on a ground map.
