Stealth Account Bank Changes?!

I have had more than half a billion EC in my account bank before but I have been spending a lot of EC recently and it dropped below that a few weeks back. For some reason now that I have made some extra EC to put into my account bank, it tells me that my account bank can't exceed 500,000,000 (half a billion) EC. When was this change made and why? I have been a lifetime subscriber since the end of the open beta phase so it definitely isn't that.

    I thought they upgraded it to 750mil earlier this year or sometime?

    The Exchange wasn't upgraded to top out at 750 million. It down capped down to 750 million, which is why a lot of high value items have moved to private trade channels for selling and trading.

    What is the point of having a 1 billion EC cap per character when I can only move half of that around?

    I thought the exchange used to be 500 too. Until someone points to patch notes or something I'm going to trust my fuzzy and unreliable memory over yours :)

    The exchange Was increased to 750 mil, If you are Gold, Lifetime, or buy the unlock, you should be able to have 1 billion Ec.

    If The Was 500 million and you sold something for 700 million, you would lose 200 million. Likewise if the limit was 500 million and you wanted to buy something that was 700 million never be able to.

    That's why am pretty sure the exchange limit is 750 million and the unlocked character bank account limit is 1 billion, or 999,999,999.

    The exchange limit is 750 now, but until someone offers a link I'll continue to believe that it used to be 500 :)

    As others said, the Account bank limit has always been 500 mill. Exchange used to be 500, but has been 750 for some months now.

    I do play and text on Tribble sometimes and have over the years. My mistake, I guess. Seems a bit silly for the account bank to be half of what the character cap is though.

    quick note: if you're trying to move credit from one character to another and the one receiving doesn't have the same max amount unlocked, you won't be able to move it. This is what is sounds like you're trying to do. I may be wrong, but that's usually how it works.

    I may have the numbers wrong, but:

    500mill on Account Bank
    750mil on Exchange
    1 bil PER character on which the billion upgrade has been unlocked
    less than that on the rest, 500 mill per toon, i think.

    That cover all the points?

    Never played with it, but this is what I understood it to be.

    What are you talking about?

    The exchange used to be 500m and then during the last year they raised it to 750m.

    And this is one of the cases where repetitiveepic are in agreement, so it must be true.

    Change the c-store unlock to "adds 1 billion ec of storage to each character on an account." and let us buy it multiple times like inventory slots. Add one for the account bank as well.

    If they make it expensive enough it just might be that sink they were looking for to take all the wealthy players dilithium. After all who else would need to store multiple billions of ec?

    Never played with it, but this is what I understood it to be.

    I like to move around my EC with the character I am playing currently. I have been trying to save up for a D4x for my Retro Gorn. I really wanted a T6 D7 but 1.5 billion EC I can't be bothered with to try and grind and I have no clue how people actually move and transfer around that much EC.

    The C-store unlock IS an account wide unlock, as others have said. So you can have 1 billion per character. I know, because I have near that on several of mine, and I only ever purchased the unlock once.

    yes. but why edit what has been addressed. That would be confusing and change the flow of the thread. Editing soon after post, but before others is usually okay.

    Plenty fine to read a couple of posts down to see where correction is agreed to. Don't see why you'd have an issue with it. Not like you can change a verbal conversation after you've spoken. Everyone errs. I only agreed with Fang when he corrected me.

    no big deal. I was wrong. I admit it. Not the first time.

    It is an account wide unlock for the Characters banks. Increasing the account bank cap as well would be nice.
