Which reputation ground armor set do you like the best

I really like the Iconian ground armor set. Which set do you use and why?

I don't use a set. I use the nakuhl personal shield and weapon, the Herald lobi armor and antiproton projector.

Similar, most of my people don't use a rep set, instead opting for fleet [CrtD] armor with nakuhl set 2-part. Those that do use rep sets or parts thereof often have the Dyson shield for it's emergency regen, along with the delta weapon and armor for bonus max health and an additional 20% shield hardness. Also good on its own, or as 2 parts, is the omega force set with the +Dodge shield (good passive damage reduction for the poor boff AI, and allows a captain to exceed 100% dodge rating)

My selections might not ever have been ideal, but honestly it is too tedious for me to invest the resources to field-test every single bit of ground rep gear. *shrug*

I like to outfit the admiral with MACO 2-piece + Adapted MACO 2-piece. That gives me two unlimited (if weak, and on a cooldown) heals, one for shields and one for health.

For the rest of the landing party, I go with Fleet shields and armor. At least two of them get the Adapted MACO pulsewave assault with the under-barrel cluster grenade launcher. The other two are sniper rifles or miniguns, depending on my mood that day.

On my old toons I use the MACO/KHG/Omega set, got them before the Reputation System hit and never felt a need to replace them. Added a sniper or a pulsewave and I am set for CQC and long range engagements. A reward box or Solanae suit gets dusted off when necessary.

Ground is stupid easy for over two years now. I use the Iconian set but I never actually use the weapon. My weapon of choice is the Plasma Wide Beam Rifle. For alts, I use the Romulan Imperial Set because it was free, along with the Plasma Wide Beam Rifle.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    Stat-wise: Omega
    Visuals: either Temporal or Dyson.

For a tac few things, if any, trump the omega set.

For sci it is usually the romulan set or dyson due to the tankiness.

    For eng.. no pref.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I prefer the MACO visuals myself, but I tend to style all my characters more on flavor than anything else.

The Temporal visuals are pretty sweet too.

For any character that relies on bunker strategy: Dyson

For aoe specialists: honor guard/adapted maco

For cheap awesomeness: romulan or nakuhl

But I have every set on someone. They have their uses and help make the characters feel different.

I'm still a huge fan of Omega Force/Honor Guard. Pretty much all my characters use it.

My main has all the sets which are used on my BoFFs. On my Alts I gear up BoFFs with Romulan or the Na'Khul set from mission rewards. They're cheap, easy to acquire and very effective sets.

Nukara sets in my case. Many of my characters are melee/close ranged, or have a cold theme to them, or are both.

I use the Romulan set or the Na'khul set.

My AoY Captain uses an ultra rare energy dampening armor MK XIV for Mining Instabilities Elite because I have not progresssed to Uneasy Allies yet so that I can claim the Romulan set.

On my main? Usually some bits of the latest Ground Set and a TR-116-b. My BOffs get the different variations of the Omega Rep Sets for the team bonuses they offer.

As far as BOffs go, BTW, I run the Vet Rewards Android (Engi), 0718 or Nelin Exil (Self Resurrecting Away Team FTW!) along with whichever flavor of Photonic BOffs I'm finding interesting at the moment, usually Tac and Eng.

mostly some combo of cc and terran. reasonably powerful and versatile enough to do pretty much anything I want it too.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

that's what the bat'leth is for. no need to remodulate.

Don't they still nanite you and turn you into a Borg?

rarely but if you kill them fast enough, which is pretty easy to do, it not much of a risk, and decent boffs/ team mates bring that down to almost nil. and it not like I get no use form my disruptor, weaken or kill want ever I can before they get in melee range cuts down time/risk. can still remodulate in between fights if I want though I rarely care enough to. it's not the best way to fight borg, which I rarely do any way even less so on the ground, but it works and I'm covered on things omega/maco/honorguard doesn't help with.

don't get me wrong if I was fighting borg all the time I'ld switch but this works for the every once in a while they cross my path.

Adapted MACO has worked awesome for me and my Boffs forever.

I do use the sniper rifle from the non adapted set to draw enemies in.
