I can't finish the Promotion to Commander (KDF)

Why have this not been fixed? My toon is stuck with previous level ship until I reach next level ??? I am not the only one noticing this bug, also my friends with are levelling a new KDF?

Have you completed House Always Wins and started Test of Mettle?

If yes, try leaving the great hall and then returning.

Doesn't work.. I have the Commander promotion mission listed and I can't finish it or claim my free ship. Luckily I have some Zen store ships at level commander at kdf.. but I'm kind of worried. I have finished that House mission twice.

What part of the mission are you stuck on? Starting it? Middle of it? If Middle describe what you are trying to do and what you have done. With out this info we cant really help.

Also what previous missions have you run? Unlike Fed the KDF and ROM promotions are tied to story missions Not your level. This becomes very apparent during a bonus XP event. And there will probably be several times that you have outleveled a ship before you get it.

This isn't an actual story mission. It is the promotion mission in which you are suppose to level up to a new tier ship. I can't get access to the free tier commander ship because the Admiral of the Klingon side won't let me speak to him about promotion. I have reported this, but there was nothing they could fix, I guess. I spoken to a few about this and they have been experiencing the same bug. I just think this should be fixed because it's such huge bug and every new player will most likely experience the same thing. It does bring down on the experience...

I have done the something something Star .. I'm terrible, I can't remember the name. It's the mission you attack mars and then hijack a federation shuttle. I'm level 35 now.

Did you skip any missions? The two you need to do are House Always Wins where you face down the fleet of House Torg, and Test of Mettle where you get a new ship and take it out for a spin.

I have done them all.., I even did House Always Wins twice. Something weird happened there though, I had to redo that mission again with the fight on that ground mission. It still does not allow me to get my promotion.

It's a problem that's been in the game since at least August. If you keep leveling you'll get the level 30 promotion, which will work and unlock the level 20 promotion rewards in the process. Though, by then you'd have gotten the ship from "Temporal Ambassador" which will more than happily carry to level 40 and your last free ship. That's the workaround that I found works.

if thats true, perhaps our KDF friendly CM can get some attention on the issue... Maybe post in the bug sub-forum and tag him?

I tried to file a ticket for this problem, and the ticket did not go thru, I got a message, "Unable to process your request."

Second star to the right? Thats a Level 8 mission. I just played that last night, on a new toon. There is the problem, I bet. You have got a lot of episodes to play through or skip, till you hit the level 30 promotion mission. Did you get the part of the Promotion where you have to go to talk to Chancellor J'mpok. or is that just not triggering?

The only thing I can think of is skipping every mission you can up until The last mission in the Romulan set and the first mission in the Cardassian set. That should put the missions where the promotion will unlock.

I just waited until I got Captain (KDF,) and it finished both Commander and Captain promotions at the same time. Also, one the devs told me the Commander Promotion was bugged.

lol, not being able to level up is pretty much a game-breaking bug ,if you ask me....
