winter wonderland chef recipe bug

haven't run into this problem before, because I'm usually not this stupid.

Don't open more than one of the recipes for the Winter wonderland chef accolade at the same time. If you pick up the ingredients - they vanish! The recipe vanishes that goes with it! And there is no record of you having started the mission - it too is deleted from your list.

I've found you'll have to start all over, by re-acquiring the recipe.

not sure if this is an old bug, probably is. Only putting it here for the general public to be aware of. Might report it later, but don't feel like it.

I do multiple recipes at once all the time. I've never experienced a problem with it. In fact, I just completed the Holiday Chef accolade on one of my toons last night after running 4 recipes simultaneously.

I don't think the bug is actually as the OP was led to believe by circumstances, it could just be that the ingredients to some recipes are missing entirely, which I have noticed is as much of a problem this year as last.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

'Gredients are findable. I've had no problem with that part. The issue comes up when I have more than 2 recipes active at the same time. As stated is exactly what happened.

    However.

With some testing, the missions can sometimes be completed by going back to Neelix, where the completed mission may or may not show up. After the ingredients, etc. , vanish from the inventory, those slots can hold other materials. On occassion, the mission 'auto-completed', dumping the finished item into my inventory without having to go back to Neelix. Mostly, though, I had to redo the mission.

After, repeating this several times, I stopped opening more than one of the recipe missions at a time and posted this thread.

Definitely a bug of some kind, even if it seems inconsistent to me.

Acheiving each section of th emission as complete also requires that I leave to the character screen and then come back to that character for it to show up on the list.

It's an accolade, so not exactly a real worrisome game issue. Just annoying, and probably a real expensive thing for some of the new toons/players out there.

This issue hasn't happened with any other missions or items I've currently dealt with, so believe - even if possibly incorrectly - that's it is just a bug with the recipe missions.

If you haven't had a problem, excellent! March on!

I've actually found the ingredients in a couple of cases well outside the labeled circles on the map for the areas they are supposed to be in. For instance: Eggs. They are supposed to be under the tree at the bottom of the slope coming from the gingerbread village. If you step to the right of that tree (facing towards Q), and turn 180 degrees, I usually find them amongst the trees and against the mountain. They ofent look like the snowball piles. So it might help to explore more. I've found all the ingredients and the tend to spawn in different locations, but within sight of the place they are supposed to be.

Sugar can be found in the triangle from the snowmen, to the 2nd race coordinator for the once-a-day race (Fastest Game on Ice), to the entrance to Tide of Ice. The shown area for sugar though, is right infront of the entrance to the Tide of Ice, but it can show up anywhere in that triangle. But this is only an example, where as cinnemon can show up anywhere amongst the trees on the side of the map where it's shown to be, well away from that zone it's supposed to be in.

Just start checking every golden glowing item you find. :)

I typically run two recipe missions at the same time and I never ran into any problems. Once all the ingredients for a recipe has been collected they are immediately removed from the inventory. Once the ingredients for both recipes have been collected (and disappear from inventory), I return back to Neelix and collect the rewards for both missions.

I have never had an incident where the mission auto completes and I receive the reward. I always need to speak to Neelix. Thas is actually a "bug" that I would like to be introduced into the game.

I do these missions on multiple captains between my primary account and my secondary Free2Play only account

I have always done them all at once, and they've always all counted on every character, including the Temporal Agent this year. The recipes, ingredients, and I believe the mission in your list all disappear when you get all of your ingredients gathered for each mission, but they're always all there and ready to complete at the Winter Chef/Neelix when you return to him.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
