Hmm.... I figured it would be a while before we see T7 ships. Oh well... I guess the ships I purchased are now all worthless...
So how soon can I get a KDF / Romulan T7 Science Vessel? A T7 shuttle craft would be nice too. I wanna be able to one-shot a T6 Paradox Temporal Dreadnought in something the size of a Mini Cooper.
We have less than 2 months to go before we know if this is a prank or not since it says it will be available for the 7th year anniversary. Although if it is true, then it will be the first C-Store ship purchase I have made in a long time since my main character is a Liberated Borg.
#PracticalJokeGonePractical (see the spoiler). If not, put me down for a cute Sphere.
Ya know, that was my first guess... but the true horror of this being a real thing was too much for my brain.
Cryptic, if you read this? NEVER. DO. THIS.
Honestly, I'm hesitant for them to ever introduce T7 ships. I'd really hate for us to reach a point where the "end game" ships that people have being using possibly for years at this point are now completely obsolete and a genuine detriment to use anymore.
Because right now? I don't think we're their. I can hope into a T5 and while it may not be quite as powerful nor as efficient as a T6, there's essentially zero content that it can't tackle. The more the power creeps up, however, the closer we come to the point where that is no longer the case.
Judging by the copy under the pic I'm gonna say it's fake. It just doesn't seem consistent with the usual stuff. Like "This formidable science vessel is also brand new". Yeah no #$#@ amateur.
Also i ll already say the status, 5/5 weapons, consoles: 6 science, 5 tactical and 1 engineer, all boffs are universal and of course... sensor analysis and secondary deflector.
^^ The T7 announcement wouldn't come with just a generic ISA screengrab, trust me.
But yeah, Cryptic, let's NOT. DO. THIS. I love me a good power creep, but I simply don't have any ship slots left, and would really hate to see all my T5-U ships become *truly* obsolete.
I'm not so sure there are a lot of folks out there who would be willing (or can afford) to pay $50 bucks a pop for a single ship.
(you know these ain't gonna be cheap)
Of course, taking out a loan to play a MMO is probably going to be encouraged under the leadership of our new president.
So what the hell, sign me up.

What would be the point of a T7 anyway? T6 already includes specialist seating, a trait, an extra console slot, and an extra BOFF seat. What would a T7 even offer that works? There doesn't seem to really be a need for it and would just create another layer of work with having to update all T6 ships into T7.
I get this is a nice photoshop prank and all (really, two science ships? At least the person could have tried to be more creative in terms of which ship types were on offer) but how can people actually think we'd get anything higher than T6 when anything else is really a lot of work for no benefit for the Devs. I would however like a playable borg ship though since it would get me to make a liberated character to have fun on.
T7 tac cube starship trait - Assimilate This, this will ONLY be active when in orbital space, upon triggering every other player in that particular instance will lose the ability to control their toons. After ship assimilation is complete the player will be transported to the planet/facility they are orbiting and their toon, which will have been transformed into an assimilated pink unicorn will proceed to assimilate any player/NPC it encounters using a unique Abdominal Gas Assimilation Nanite weapon.

To fan the flames of nerd rage.
Note to self... buy popcorn.
A normal Borg cube will have to suffice ;P
The Tactical Cube will make that one obsolete tho, it'll be T7.
The T7 is 5:5 plus 13 consoles and comes with 3, the invisible torps and both tractor and tachyon emitter cluster x 5.
What Starbase is that?
And why is that brown borg cube flying off kilter?
Edit: that doesnt even look like sto.
