PS4 : Veteran Bridge officer (How to have them ? )

Hello,
I just have got the STO Lifetime on PS4, and I would like to know how to get the Human Veteran Bridge officer Candidate ?
They look good with two space traits : Space warfare specialist and Leadership ...

I can take one Android Bridge officer, but not the Veteran Bridge officer, Why ?

Thanks
Ced

I believe they were only offered to players whose in-game wealth was significantly devalued after the initial currency conversion to Dilithium. As far as I know, they can no longer be acquired by any other means.

Let me see if i remember then all, by which I mean whether I can copy them from the Wiki:
    • Badges of Exploration Mark (classed by tier, allowing you to buy uncommon items by that tier, earned from exploration cluster missions. Exploration Clusters don't even exist anymore, the only remnant of them are those nebulaes that grant DOFF assignments.)
    • Medals: (classed by tier, allowing you to buy uncommon items by that tier, earned from PvP participation)
    • Mark of Honor: Earned by doing endgame PvP Dailies, allowing you to buy very rare gear. (Mark X?)
    • Mark of Exploration: Earned by doing endgame Exploration Dailies, allowing you to buy very rare gear (mark X?)
    • Mark of Valor: Earned by doing STFs
    • Emblems: Earned by doing endgame dailies after the level cap increase to Vice Admiral, getting you Mark XI very rare items.

The Badges and Medals were kinda worthless, since they only got you stuff that you'd no longer need when you had enough of them to buy something. The Marks and Emblems were better for the time they existed, but became outdated.

When Cryptic moved F2P, they decided to introduce Dilithium as the main time-gated currency and replace the other currencies. Of course, it is almost ironic that they later ended up ending regular new currencies. Except... These new currencies remain valuable and don't get obsolete as you grow in level or they raise the level cap. Omega or Romulan Marks are still as valuable as they used to be when they were first introduced, basically, and maintained this value even after another level and gear cap increase and the introduction of many other reputations. Badges of Exploration became obsolete as you levelled!

Some people had accumulated a ton of them, and they were only partially converted to Dilithium. People exceed that conversion cap got the Veteran Bridge Officer requisitions.

That these exist in the console build at all is probably just an oversight, or something just not important enough to warrant an active change.

Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

It'd be cool if they introduced a new way to acquire them.

What you get now is one Android boff of your choice per capatain, male or female, tac, eng or sci. They have self-resurrect and superior creative trait for their powers. You can dismiss the boff and then pick a different one.

Not everyone or every character at the time got the Veteran Bridge Officer. Your character had to have exceed a certain value in total converted currencies to qualify for the Bridge Officer. There was a maximum amount of Dilithium that was exchanged from the converted currencies and the Bridge Officer was compensation for those that had enough converted currencies to exceed that amount. So if you had 1,000,000 Dilithium worth of converted currencies or if you had 100,001 Dilithium worth of converted currencies, then you would get 100,000 Dilithium and the Veteran Bridge Officer.

Thank you for your answer, that is sad, I really thought as we could get them. I don't understand why they are still in the shop if we can not acquire them...

Agreed, i would like to have a bof with the veteran space trait and leadership...

They exist for players who have not gotten around to claiming them yet.

Like the person here still using the fixed-module kit frames from 2012, some people take their time to get up to date :)

They might still be available for trade (not Exchange) by contacting someone who is willing to part with their Veteran Bridge Officer in their current roster.

Pretty sure you can no longer trade active BOffs...

You all have missed the point. These are appearing in the shop on Console, where it is impossible to get them.

Which sounds like a copy and paste. It is possible that the Veteran Bridge Officers exist on the console, but is currently not accessible due to no one on the console has the right token to purchase it.

Its an oversight, or they didn't care to remove it from the console version. There is no way to get one unfortunately.

It's one of the rarest items in the game and nearly impossible to obtain now. Even if you could find someone who had one that they haven't used, the price for it would be more latinum than you could dream of. It's probably the single most valuable item in the entire game.

I too wish that there was some way to acquire these from the requisition officer. That they are still listed at all, when it is impossible to actually get them seems less of an oversight and much more of a WTF to me??
