New free ship just days away.

Well another year has passed and it's almost time for the next Winter Event, I don't know about you, but I'm excited. I'm really looking forward to a new ship, just not sure what it'll be. I'm assuming a T6 Chel Grett Warship, what do you guys think it will be?... or perhaps some inside information?!?!? I also really hope they bring back a way to earn previous ships, I missed last winter but I really want to complete my Breen collection.

    Some of us are getting extremely bored of getting another Breen ship. Personally, I want a Snowconian ship or Snow Borg Sphere ship. After all, Q is the one giving us the ship for playing his game. So giving a ship that goes against the laws of physics is easy for Q.

    It's Star Trek. So having a ship that goes against the laws of physics is canon.

    I like Breen ships. Therefore I am happy to get more Breen ships.

    And yeah... a ghost of the new ship was seen on tribble. It's t6 Chel.

    It's highly, highly unlikely a T6 Chel Grett will be done, I mean the only difference will be a Trait and Specialized seating. It's going to be most likely a Sci vessel, as that's the only class not released.

    I still want breen ships... mostly hoping they have drain boosting traits and they updating the console set so it;' not quite as bad for your build to slot it. not new console just adding the passive that t6 clicky consoles get.... perferably drain expertise.

    if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    i cant do the race thingie well enough so i don't care. the breeen ships are the only ones I don't have from events.
    I'll get the frost boots for the toons that need them then take advantage of empty defera to grind omega marks

    Free is always good. I never got the Chel Grett so even a T6 update would be cool.

    I'd really like that Vorgon battleship but i guess that is the summer ship.

    Either way it's gonna be cool (no pun intended). :p

    I want a T6 Nagus Marauder in some way shape or form. Even if it's different than the freebie they gave to the unwavering supporters.

    Breen ships need to be retired IMO. I think a good 90% of the community is tired of flying breen junkyards these days, from what I've read in game. Lets go with some new and actually interesting stuff.

    I see a lot of people are anti Breen, that's unfortunate. I get that people "want" this ship or that, but that isn't what the winter event is about. The reason we've had Breen ships all this time, and likely will continue to is due to them being "cold themed". Granted there are other races, such as Andorians, that are also "cold themed" but I don't see Cryptic steering away from Breen, at least not this year. I think there are still some more Breen ship ideas available for them, and remakes of previous models are also highly likely, they're doing it with every Lobi and C-Store ship, event ships probably wont be any different.

    Cold themed is cool and all but when it's quite evident the overwhelming majority of the player base talking about it in game really do not want another Breen ship yet again, it's time to start thinking of other options.

    If it is not the Chel Breen ship updated to a tier six ship grade, than it would be nice to have a Breen science ship (not a science carrier like the sarr Theln is) which I would prefer more to see what the Breen would do with a Science ship. Though Next year I would not mind if they left behind the Breen, not that I dislike the Breen just their ship line-up are getting a bit thin now, an would love to see the Adorian or another cold/winter themed race continue. Though even adding a new dev created race that is used just for the winter event would be interesting, giving them more freedom on how to create the ship designs.

    I will say though i would not mind if they added projects in the winter event that gave us ship parts to use for customizing the look of them. Such as if we prefered the older model of the Sarr Theln or Breen Dreadnought, though giving us those parts could give us more variety to make a truly unique breen ship look. This could give players more reason to log in an do the event, than merely just to do the race, and even after finishing the race.

    I agree with the OP that the odds on favorite is a T6 Chel Grett. Preferably with Intel seating but Command would be acceptable. I would also be happy with a T6 Breen Raider (Pilot) or a new Breen ship altogether.

    How is it quite evident? Did you fund a scientific poll of the players? I think that @azrael605 nailed it in his description of the opinion of the players.

    Who said that? Did someone mention that "Snowconian and Snow Borg" ships are not cold themed? I must get to the bottom of this, I DEMAND ANSWERS!.... Oh, just accusations and assumptions, well, never mind then.

    Interesting phrasing since you basically said it WILL be better. Adding a trait and spec seating makes any ship better. :p

    May Skynet have mercy on your soul. :p Someone will have one the first hour of the event, it's pretty much guaranteed. I'll get mine the slow way, but I'll get it all the same. 7 of 13 loves Breen ships! (he's not my only character who flies them, but after he got a Chell he mostly flies Breen(or intel) stuff.

    I have the lobi ready, so I will get whatever the ship is on the first day, go to ESD and link it to zone chat just to see the nerd rage.

    After a week of doing that, unpack it, get the card and dismiss the ship.

    Another free ship and another free Starship trait.

    I'm pretty good at the race so no problem there.

    And I love Breen, I'm just upset that on my Vengeance I don't have a trophy room where I can display their Frozen heads like I have on all my other ships.

    Wait. Last year - if I remember correctly - they were saying this was the last Breen ship they were going to create and that they are glad they can do somthing else now. I'm 99% certain this was mentioned,

    Oh please, both of you. If you even play you've seen the talk. It's the same thing every day at ESD and DS9 when ever its brought up, it's overwhelmingly negative in regards to another Breen ship. Lets not be silly now and pretend its not.

    depends how you look at it but its a few days before the start of the event and 25 days to earn the ship I look at it more as a few weeks away, sure we will find out what the ship is going to be but personally I wouldn't use the statement "New free ship just days away" just yet, least not until I am a few days away from completing the ship project.
    maybe if you had used "we find out what the free ship is in a few days" for the title of the thread it would have been more apropriate.

    When I think about everything we've been through together,

    maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

     and if that journey takes a little longer,

    so we can do something we all believe in,

     I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
