Warp Core with AMP - UR Fleet or UR Rep?

I know with fleet you can level em up and get more chances to hit Gold/Epic.

These Rep Cores all have AMP at UR.

Dyson - Aux->Shields, Bonuses to Shield, +18.8 Electro=Plas, +20 Impluse expertise
Counter - Eng->Weapons, Bonuses to Eng, +18.8 to Eng Subsys Performance, 33% Eng Pwr Drain Res
Delta - Aux-Shields, Bonuses to Shield, +18.8 to Drain & Electro-Plas, Shield Subsys Performance
Iconian - Eng->Shields, +Bonuses to Eng, +18.8 Warp Core Eff, +100 Hull & +20 Shield Regen while at Full Impluse
Terran - Wep->Aux, +0-5 Subsys while in combat, +37.5 Electro-Plas, +18.8 Weapon subsys Performance
Temporal - Aux->Wep, +Bonuses to Aux, +37.5 Warp Core Eff

So far Terran seems best... does fleet have a better Core?

Iconian also has Hot Restart for weapons offline after 1 second, nice when fighting Terrans, Tholians, Iconians. Plus the set has good bonuses: http://sto.gamepedia.com/Iconian_Resistance_Starship_Technologies#Iconian_Resistance_Hyper_Injection_Warp_Core

I always run with either the Fleet or Iconian core.

Most people use the Iconian set anyway, so the Iconian core gives you the 4pc bonus and it's a pretty nice core anyway. The 4pc Iconian is a little better when working with coordinated groups (where you all time your use of the power) but the 3pc Iconian with a Fleet Warp Core is slightly better for more 'lone wolf' style. Honestly though, it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.. both are great combos.

The Fleet Core used to be a better option for most people because it could be so expensive to get the Iconian Core to UR to get AMP. If however, you created a Delta Recruit, they can unlock the ability to buy the Iconian Core at Mark XIII UR which makes it easier to obtain then the Fleet Core.

Those aren't the only viable combos of course, just the combinations generally accepted as the 'best' or the 'meta' at the moment.

Hmmm need to look at full set then... cause the Iconian Core doesnt seem all that good. My eng power is 25 mostly, maybe bit higher on some toons. For borg encounters, crystal event... park and shoot. seldom go full imp and if I do the hull/shield regen wont last long. fed crew is humans so they get the stacking leadership... might be good for rom or kdf, since they focus on sro or pirate.

    Temporal Recruit right? Not Delta?

Iconian pretty much 99% of the time unless it's science. The 4 piece set is solid.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

My mistake.. yes.. Temporal Recruit, not Delta.

    Thanks. :)

I'm pretty sure the Terran Warp core was changed to get W->S now (not in game right now, so don't shoot me).

I almost exclusively use 3 piece Terran + Iconian Shield (the self-reapairs and cleansing of that shield are just unbeatable, to me).

For a standard energy boat, I'd use Iconian as well for set bonus. Terran is good standalone core, but it's set bonuses are not really remarkable
However, as I mainly fly exotic boats, I've found Temporal Defense Warp Core to be excellent for the task.

The Iconian full set is one love, hands down, hats off. No reason to use anything else unless you are heavily into partigens only or tanking.

The 3-part Terran set is *very* good for draining, especially in combination with the Quantum Phaser set. And the players love it! :)

i got my stats in game from ya AOY toon... so pretty sure it's W->A. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me.

I believe they removed ALL W->S cores from game and replaced them... when you get to Epic, you get a W->S mod and there is a bug that you cant get it 2 times. Well, you can get it listed twice... but you only get 1 effect, not 2.

Typical cryptic fashion, in stead of fixing bug they just remove the possibility of it happening.

I've got Fleet, Iconian and Terran. All epic.
But for PvE I'm using the Iconian like 99% of the time.

I do like the Terran core a lot, and also the Temporal Core from mission reward.
But I mean, the 4 piece ico set bonuses are hard to deny.

It's almost a disservice to yourself not to use the Ico 4 piece.
Unless you run a torp boat or space magic yacht.

    Iconian Set powers
    Set 2: Enhanced Shield Distribution
    Enhancement
Distribute Shields applies X Shield Regeneration for 5 sec to each facing
Once triggered, goes on cooldown for 30 sec
Skills that affect this ability: Starship Shield Emitters

    Set 3: Energy Augmentation Actuator
    Passive
When firing Energy Weapons, 5% chance: +15% All Energy Damage for 8 sec to Allies within 10km
This effect stacks up to 3 times.

    Set 4: Radiant Subatomic Pulse
    Affects Friend and Self
    0 kilometer Team
    2 min recharge
    To Team:
+33% All Damage for 30 sec
+20% Maximum Hull for 30 sec
+10% Flight Speed for 30 sec

Hmmm nice dps buff for 4 piece set... but I would probably go with 3 piece set with Terran Core, which allows all subsys to go over 125 and giving up to 5 extra power while in combat.

This may be irrelevant, but would be useful to some who may want to know. If you have the solanae warp core way back then, it is the best science oriented warp core with AMP. (mostly for the complete set). Other than that, the temporal one works just as well.

But I feel that the iconian warp core is the best well rounded AMP warp core out thier since the set is useful for anyship.

yeah I am looking at the Description... your core is EPIC... at EPIC they all get W->S

That mod you see is from hitting EPIC/Gold level.

The first instance gives you what it normally has... which is W->A. At the end, your EPIC also is giving you W->S, at the very bottom

So I've been using the Temporal Phase Overcharged Warp Core on my All-Tholian All-the-Time Tarantula. Not as shnazy as some but the capacitor clicky does not suck and you can stack a LOT of miscellaneous tetryon damage buffs that pump your weapons and all exotic tetryon clickies you get.

Using the Obelisk Subspace Rift Core paired with the Omni-beam on my Antiproton beam boat.

Also running a 2&2 Counter command/Tholian mix on my Vengeance (deflector and core being CC) .

Might be better options, but Iconian Resistance over and over gets a little dull ;).

Not only that, the Solanea core is one of the best Warp Cores for PvP if you're running a sci boat.
Allows AUX to get to 130.

Don't over look that over cap.
