Star Trek First Contact: 20th Anniversary

in 1996, First Contact introduced us to many new things: the new look of the Borg, the Akira, Steamrunner, Norway and Saber-Classes, but most importantly, it introduced us to the Sovereign-Class USS Enterprise NCC-1701-E.
Now I ask, in honor of that movie...where in the name of hell is our T6 Sovereign?

They don't observe every anniversary that you can imagine, and they don't need to.

But.....T6 Sovereign is either this week or next week, or so the Obsidian Order spies have said.

I thought the Order was disbanded as of the end of the Dominion War. Or are those your True Way spies?

November 22nd is the Anniversary, not the 8th! Patience!!

Thank you, this ^^^^^ right here. I'm a Sovereign flyer myself, she is my flagship on my main, has been for almost 5 years now.

I'm itching to get the ship myself too, but I am having patience. She will be here soon enough :).

Who says we'd get the T6 Sovvie for the anniversary? We've got a Phoenix Admiralty Card, a Phoenix Non-Combat Pet, we could always end up with a Phoenix Small Craft shuttle... (complete with 'CD Player w/Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride"' as a console...)
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...

"Magic Carpet Ride"! Put it in the Lobi store like the Golden Rules of Acquisition is. Same Idea, Content Playback. shouldn't be to hard.

I believe the recent remodel of the Sovereign to be more accurate as well as the accidental leak of the T6 Sovy in the C-Store would indicate we are getting a T6 Sovy.

Cryptic's license covers everything from TOS through to Enterprise (series) and TMP through Nemesis (movies). Recently they were allowed to touch the reboot and Into Darkness, but nothing yet from Beyond. So basically anything that is considered Prime Universe is fair game for Cryptic without special permission from Paramount.

Here's how it pretty much works out.
Everything until Star Trek (2009) is owned by CBS.
The Reboot movies are owned by Paramount.
    Cryptic's license is with CBS.

Well, we've been waiting two years. I expected the T6 Sovereign to pop up sooner. If it didn't pop in by the end of the month, I'd be pissed, and UNDERSTANDABLY pissed, as well. Which also brings up the Borg. I want the FC Borg back. They at least looked terrifying; Cryptic's borg don't even look like a threat.

Yeah, there should be two T6 Sovereigns coming out. If the leaked info is correct, the C-Store version is Intel. The Command version is part of some type of promo with WizKid's game expansion for their tabletop Star Trek related game. The promo code should be inside the packaging.

I might buy the game expansion, use the promo code, then throw everything else into the garbage... LoL....

I already pre-ordered one. And from what I've seen, the Attack Wing-miniatures look rather terrible. Shameful. Even the miniatures from these collector's magazines look better.

Which would make sense on a meta-level. Before First Contact, a certain technical Manual already gave speculation about the Enterprise-E, saying it will be a smaller Nova-class ship. That might have been inaccurate, but...

In some way, Sovereign and Nova are loosely tied.

that's like saying because I said my brother could borrow my car he has the right to lend it to his mate without checking with me first.
just because paramount had the right to use the track as part of that movie doesn't mean they can use it willynilly in any other production or allow a third party to use it in any type of star trek spinoff be it episode, movie or game.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

I'd like to see a lot more T6 ships. In fact, there is little difference between T5 and T6. Better stats and a universal console, but that should be easy to program.

So I don't see why all T5... in fact all ships... can't have a T6 variant.

The developers have rightfully decided that the sovereign should be burned from the star trek history files and that therefor there will not be a tier 6 version.

.. wishful thinking. I really do NOT like the sovereign for anything other than target practice.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Think we'll have anything to commemorate thirty years of TNG next year?

I would hope so, although I'm not entirely sure what 'thing' we could get as we already have a T6 Galaxy and Gal-X. Maybe a Tier 6 Constellation, but that might be somewhat of a tenuous link.

A story arc with some TNG voice actors who haven't been in the game yet would be cool - perhaps even some timey-wimey stuff where our toons interact with the TNG crew at various key points in the TNG storyline.

To keep us on topic, I've been waiting since T6 was first introduced for a T6 Sovereign. I loved that ship the first time I saw it (really can't believe it's been 20 years), and that's never changed.

Maybe a return of the Worf hairdo and gotee, and a few other cosmetics we can get at least.

20th Anniversary? Hah!! Maybe very late in the afternoon on the 22nd after being chided by Forum flameouts, PWE will do something. It's not like it is the very forgettable September 8th 50th you know. ;)
