OK so last night i was doing a advance pve and the team only had 4 people total so everyone left the match before the start only to be hit with a penalty only allow me to q for the event mission. Now this morning I DC and login back in and get hit with a 30 minute timer again. Fix this TRIBBLE now McFly. Also fire the TRIBBLE hat that add this into the game.

That's what you get for playing on a weenie-box instead of a real computer
Is there any other content in STO besides STF that is half way engaging?
Just asking because with PvP even more dead I haven’t found any in my close to 4,5 years of play.

There is a PVP challenge, since you bring that up.

I normally could care less for PVP outside of testing builds, but this one has my attention. Also if you get disconnected someone isn't going to try to tell you that you somehow deserved the AFK. See the challenge, you will understand.
In STF leaving does get you an AFK, which in that case seems fair. The DC the next day was bad luck, but you still get punished under the current system. that is a 'false positive', and will get you in trouble if it was, say, a drug test. It's the same thing here.
I never liked the false positives. Awhile back I was trying to guide some newbies along. I had some bail on the whole STO game because of false positives. To see part of what the experience was I ran some new toons through more PVE teamed queues. I found that more than a few false positives were resulting from the lopsided DPS situation in game.
I went round and round with people over that. A lot of the old 'DPS' community is pretty entrenched in favor of AFK penalties, and they have their reasons. Some were reasonable. A few I would not have nice things to say about. A few claimed it was about skill vs laziness. My opinion is that anyone who can afford it can copy and paste the current popular build, which takes little skill at all. It just takes resources. Not everyone has those, nor should it be required to have them to avoid penalties.
So PVE, and PVP are both actually weak in my opinion. Check out the link for something that may be new enough to give you a reason to care. I'll be doing it, and I had given up on PVP awhile ago, so that is a big change for me. I hope you come aboard.
Qapla!
Then there is the Targ H.O.G. which is an homage to the Pitbull Hoverboard.
