Voth Ground Battlezone - Command Credits

Just ran the Voth Ground Battlezone and lo and behold, after years of asking for relieve from leeches, Command Credits hit the ground and are automatically added to your Inventory. Alone, you get all, if others are there, there seems to be some sort of sharing but not sure how it determined. Tier or strict percentage based on other Teams.

Welcome change, a few years late, but welcome.

I was running the Voth Ground Battlezone this weekend too, and noticed what was happening. It looks like the pickup range for looting both the Command Credits and also all the Combat Support Buffs that DROP from the Supply Runners and the like got increased from 2m radius all the way out to 30m radius. Figured this out by running towards stuff and watching it auto-loot to me as I got closer, but the range was just YUUUUUUGE!

It's nice... to some extent. There are times when I'm just there to help capture the points and when I'm not interested at all in those command credits.

I usually just leave them for others if I'm done with the daily, even if someone else has done almost nothing. I no longer need them, so if it's useful to someone else I just let them take it.

That's also no longer possible, unfortunately.

I used to love picking up other people's credits and being called all kinds of swear words in foreign languages. I also didn't mind being benevolent and providing credits for others to pick up. This move is probably a good one because anything that gets more people to play the zone is a plus in my book.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Definitely a good move and one that was complained about constantly for years.
It's just a pity it takes then so damned long to change things like this!

The main side effect of the change is that it pushes things closer to being an "auto-loot" more in keeping with City of Heroes, rather than making all the drops a mini-"PacMan" game of needing to gobble up all the dots (and the big pills).

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I hope we'll see an auto-loot function eventually.

It has always been somewhat annoying that you need to fly back or run back to pick up loot (like when you hadn't seen it before because it's inside the wreckage of a cube or whenever you're taking up a sniper-position).

Most people on here tend to see loot as worthless, but if you think of how many items are left behind because it's too time-consuming or distracting, especially in larger ground maps, too pick up everything, it's quite a large sum of EC. Certainly if you play a couple of missions each day, with multiple items in each mission and keep doing that for weeks or months.

I do the same, but I figured out that it's still possible if you just leave a few seconds before the point is capped.

    Hm might try that then.

On the other hand, I have also noticed that I sometimes get half the credits (14-16 out of 30 total) when I arrive much later at a certain point (or, there were already people there who did much more than I did). In one instance I even got 16 credits while someone else took control of the transporter when I was just passing by and didn't fire a single shot at the Voth or anything there.

It works just how @autumnturning was saying. If you're within 30m of a captured point, you'll automatically scoop up any credits within your radius, even if you were just running by as the point was captured. As long as you get out of range before it caps, you should be good.
