I have seen red alerts in the Alpha quadrant, but they seem to missing in Beta. I usually like the Tholian Red Alert since you get double the marks, but I have not seen any for some time. Is this a known bug?
The Na'Kuhl got sick of getting trashed so they worked to remove the beacons informing captains of their incursions.
But since they suck at their temporal jobs, they also erased the Borg and Tholian red alerts, so now, nobody is aware of any red alert, leaving countless sectors at the inexistent mercy of the Borg, and when an alert is triggered, it turns out to be a false one.
Yeah it appears all the red alerts and borked now. I tried several Borg ones and it tried to queue me up but nothing actually happened. Looks like something else that the patch broke.
They have been broken since Artifacts released. None in Beta or Delta, and the Borg ones you get in Alpha are non-reponsive. There has been a Bug about it in the Bug Forums since early in the week.
I've been using a one-person Private Starbase 24 to level Ship Masteries instead. Though even there I did notice that after the Patch on the 20th, only the Negh'Var Warships count for Phase 2, whereas before that, so did the Vor'char Battlecrusiers.

This happened to me too.. you can click to que up, but nothing actually happens.
Frankly, this change is baffling. The one thing that everyone universally disliked about the Na'Khul red alerts was the way you had to que for them. So Cryptic for some reason decided to take the most unpopular aspect of these events and apply them globally to content that people were otherwise enjoying.
Making people que up for Red Alerts is completely stupid and yet another example of how incredibly out of touch the devs are with what players actually want.
I don't believe they did anything to the Tholian and Borg Red Alerts. Anytime you saw a Red Alert flashing in your HUD you click on it and it takes you to the spot of the alert. Once there, for Na'kuhl you need to join a Queue, the other two you needed to click on another item that made you join the alert.
From past practice, it would seem that every time they have a 'major' update, they bork up the Red Alerts. Lately they have been also borking up items in the Lobi Store as well - dropping the items from the last Locbox/Lobi Store update when the new one goes active.

Well...it's too early to say if we need to queue up for red alerts since it doesn't actually work yet. So this could be an unintended issue still. I hope it is anyways.
From what I've read (I could be wrong), the Bord alerts are queues on console. And they are attempting to synchronize the versions.
I don't get it, myself. Yes, once in a while you will enter an instance have see the boss destroyed. But you waste what, 5 seconds? Much better than waiting minutes for a queue (and then another minute for the "briefing"
Plus you then can get some XP again, which these days is difficult to get as some go off on their own, blast the Cubes in a few seconds and move on to another set.
They need to make sure they are XP Boost Zones if they revise. Na'kuhl did not get that.

I don't get it, either. Even getting into an instance with the boss destroyed only became a problem when they blocked instance switching for no reason whatsoever. And by "problem," I mean having to go through 2 extra loading screens to go back to sector and enter another.
The stealth queue destroyed all interest I might have had for the Na'kuhl alert. Did it once per toon to get the accolade and never again. Same applies to the others they're queued now. If I want to run a piece-of-cake curbstomp queue, CCA gives better reward and is less hassle to start. The best feature of the Borg/Tholian alerts was being able to do them alone with no waiting in line.
The last thing this game needs is even more forced teaming for ridiculously easy content. If anything, even most of the real queues should get a solo start option.
I do hope the Borg and Tholian Red Alerts return swiftly because i am starting to suffer from withdrawal not having played them for days.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
The loss of these experience zones will be nearly as bad as the loss of the old mirror. For a long time now - well 2 years they were for me the only place to level new ships. And usually only during exp weekend. Forcing to level the new ships is a chore and I fail to see why Cryptic would want to discourage people from buying new ships. Please bring back these red alerts as they were. Especially the tholian. If you must nerf the tholian dilithium I guess ok if you feel so strongly about it but leave us the experience please.

I am honestly hoping that we see the old open entry red alerts come back, though I could deal with them going to being like the Na'kuhl red alert. Though I will say that I hope we see them revamp an buff the enemies within the red alerts, maybe even give each of the quads a different feel from each other, as well as seeing them put in a quad red alert specifically for the delta quad (like a Vaadwaur attack/raid on a delta quad world.) which felt weird not having a red alert in that quad. With the shift over to making these ques it would not be a bad time to do such a revamp/update putting in more varied content to do.
I really do hope though they don't start dropping in the ability to do any more of the team oriented content solo, since we have enough solo content in the game as it is, and don't need to reduce the number of players quing for group content via making that content able to be launched solo.
Well as of now they seem to be back as PVE Queues with choice of Marks award (somewhat). Five people in a Team. Did a Borg and a Tholian.
They do not indicate that they are XP Boost Zones. They are the same makeup and requirements to complete.

Other than the fact it's queued, you can no longer do another borg RA if in a different place to previous until timer runs out, which there's no way of telling so you could be enroute elsewhere only to find you can't queue anyway (ok nowt new there).
However, my biggest problem is the removal of the bonus XP. I would guess Cryptic's argument there is you're teamed so it makes up. No, it doesn't.
