What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

Back after half a year, worse than I remembered

Patch
Horribly pixelated, reset settings and fixed it

next time I load up - all text gone
looked how to fix that

next time I load up - pixelated again
AND my mouse buttons no longer work so I can not fix the setting.

fine, I get it....
you do not want people to play the game on the PC
np, delete and make room for a game that does work.

Do this to NWO and I will delete that as well.

This is amateur TRIBBLE.

2 months since your last post = half a year? Anyhow, I love the new space visuals but I'm not big on the ground "pastel" look. It looks quite colorless to me as I'm not a fan of pastels.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    *sigh*
Resolved an issue where players with certain Intel and AMD cards were not seeing most in-game text.
Resolved an issue where control options would reset upon closing the options menu.
Plus the other pinned threads about how to fix most of the stuff.

Hell, all I had to do was fix the renderscale, and everything was fantastic for me. Maybe because I wanted to play the game, not look for excuses to whine about how terrible everything is...

Bout the only thing pissing in my wheaties is everytime i change maps i have to reset all my space and ground options because it resets to default.

as far as the missing kits play the new mission once you finish your kit will magically reappear and your mods will be in your inventory.

All I had to do was change the resolution from windowed back to full screen. Done.

I noticed my boffs seemed even more useless than normal in the new FE. They just stood there pointing their guns at a wall where supposedly some naussacans were.

It is not good. I also had to deal with the no text bug. I fixed it. Since the patch I get a message when logging in that my ATI driver has to be updated; the game will only start with minimal graphic or normal graphic settings. I tried the new driver, then the old one again, then the new one, it doesn't help. Since the patch I got 5 or 6 game crashes.

I did a new install of the game and I run it now as the devs want, from ARC. I got an ingame post message, thank you for using ARC. Hence I had to redo all my personal settings. And that is all for better graphics, which are in my view just slightly better graphics, which can be regarded as a matter of personal taste.

I have bought my computer in february this year. It has an Intel i7 6700 K processor with 16 GB with an AMD R9 390 GPU. Mainly to play computer games with good or above average settings. I am happy, proud and confident about my system. STO looked good and worked good. I bought an LTS this summer, because I like the game and want to play and support it for a longer time.

Tuesday, Cryptic did not deliver in my view. This type of behaviour from a company may cost them customers, certainly not bring new ones in. Sometimes you wonder, do they want a lot of accounts on maintenance?

I won't pretend I don't have issues with all the new bugs that we seem to get with every release..

That being said, most are either ones we can live with until a fix or work around to resolve it. If the OP doesn't feel that the upside of the game outweighs the occasional frustration then fine, no one will even notice he's gone.

Did we even notice he WAS gone for the past 6 months? I know I didn't. In fact, all these bugs happened when he came back...so obvious it's his fault. So the sooner he leaves again, the sooner we all get back to the game as normal.

Well.. I certainly can't fault your logic.

Looks like we're lucky he'll be gone for today's patch.. should be smooth sailing from here.
