Yet more Dilithium required for Fleet projects!

suzanna3suzanna3 Member Posts: 81 Arc User
I see in the release notes :

Fleet Holdings:

" Removed any Duty Officer input requirements on all Reputation Projects and increased the Dilithium input requirements by 100 per Duty Officer that was previously required. "

Already, the amount of dilithium required for fleet projects, especially any upgrade projects is exhorbitant and hard for small fleets to fill. This will make it not worth the effort.

That and all the white doffs that tend to sum up lost their purpose.

    The airlock it is then....

makes it OOH so much easier to solo a fleet that's lost membership though. no more of those 942 Duty Officer requirements...which take forever and a day to fill when you're basically by yourself.

I agree! This will make things so much easier. I'm grateful for this change.

    ERROR, ERROR,

Apparently this change ONLY effects Reputation projects, nothing to do with fleet holdings. The put it under the wrong heading.

    Uhhh guys, before people get too excited;
This change is only applicable to "REPUTATION" projects that required doffs, like the Elite Scorpions and Mesh Weavers.
This does not apply to Fleet projects.
If you needed 942 common doffs before, you still need 942 common doffs.

Sad to see that Cryptic just makes the sink bigger than before.

Okay people READ the whole thing and calm down BEFORE you give the knee jerk reaction. I am really getting tired of the "Woe is me I haz to spend Dilithium on something I DON'T haz to spend Dilithium on!!" crowd. They were talking about a Project in the Romulan Reputation guys. I make over 800k in Dilithium a month and I only have 6 toons. It's not that hard to do, and if you are having a hard time holding on to your Dilithium. Look up builds, gear and cost BEFORE you start spending your Dilithium. Remember: Reputation goodies are for the YOU the Capt. Fleet gear is for your Bridge Crew. That it why there are advanced and elite, the DIlithium coasts for fleet ground gear is a 1/3 to less than half per item and it is solid gear. Now if you are looking to really Trick out your Bridge Crew with Reputation gear, take you time. Dilithium represents time spent in the game. As a disabled player on a budget I know how the cost of Dilithium items seem intimidating but patience is key and it's not as bad as it looks. Two hours in the dyson sphere will get you between 16k to 32k in Dilithium ore a day per toon.

Tip #1 You really only need one to two ship sets and ship weapons set per toon. You like one type of ship? Stick with a build that suits YOUR play style for THAT ship. If you are not sure what you like or have a play style down by the time you hit 50, then you need to slow down.

Tip#2 Research, Research, Research. If you start a lot of projects at one time it will seem like too much to get done. But if you KNOW what you NEED for you and your Bridge Crew and only focus on those items first. Your resources won't get spent on things you don't need while trying to figure out what that need really is.

Tip#3 Fleets are just that. Fleets. They are meant to be a group effort. If you can't get along with group who likes to play with others then I suggest you not worry about joining one. I help run a fleet of 380 at lvl 55. This new sink is just what we need right now. Most of the last 80 members have not donated a thing. And I can't tell you the amount of hate mail I get from people who think that just because they're in my fleet that they can get whatever they want from our stock without contributing. Case in point
out of the 380 member we have, forty members have done ninety percent of the work to get us to lvl 55. So it's meant to be a shared effort not a solo one. That is unless you have 5 grand to throw into a fleet all by your little whale self.

Tip#4 Dilithium has the worst fleet credit exchange in the game and is meant to be shared effort. But If you really need that Dil for the exchange and have your eye on a ship or bundle. Remember Dilithium = Time. And Min Maxings = Burnout. So take your time. That bundle is not going anywhere and that fleet gear is not going anyplace other than in your inventory. I know what it's like to jones after a ship. But as someone who's been there the dil exchange does not cost you money so be patient. Just because it's the "newest" does not mean it's the best choice for you. Case in point. The Tempest is the most underrated ship in the fed fleet and is pound for pound the deadliest. And it's a T5. If it were ever to be made a T6 I think the only thing that might change is that the Tail gun could be turned into a Turret if you add the Nadion saturation bomb to the T6. The stats would not get too much of a boost, a new Bridge Station will get added and probably get another console slot somewhere. Still one of the best bar none and would take about 3 weeks to dil farm to get it.

Remember it's NOT a competition people if you want a new player to look at your toon and say "That cool!" How did you get that or where is that Item from? Take them under your wings and TEACH them how to use theres.

Uhm..yeah...Reputation Projects and Fleet Projects are not the same. It is confusing as they have it right now in the notes, but getting clarification before panicking would be a good idea....and seriously...this is nothing to freak out about.

Our fleet ate ALL of that first tier Holding projects and the upgrade in less than 5 mins from opening this morning.
Solution: Recruit more members to help out or have an ARMADA to help you as well. Contact me in game if you need more help or any other fleet as well.

Wow...this will be so easy to finish off except for those time gates!
