Unusual patching

So I played STO early this morning, turned off my computer, came back this afternoon, and when I logged on to the game, it said I had 13 GB of patching that needs to be done. Was there a random update that I was not aware of, and if so, can I get a link for these updates?

I can only assume you are fairly new to STO. They do a bunch of prepatching when a new update or expansion is due in the near future. The upcoming mid-season missions and new fleet base stuff is more then likely at the core of this.

i think your game got unistalled, i saw that also at one of my fleet mates, game was been completly unistalled, so it was been downloading all 13 GBs, tho Arc was showing it as its installed, don't foget to report that bug if its not already.

Actually, I have owned te game since the beginning. I am rarely on, but I did get all the patches updated last week.

The game is pre-patching for next week. However, the 13GB size is not what is downloading. The figure given is the total size of the files being patched, which includes files already on your computer. The total download size will ALWAYS be lower. Be aware that the new graphics update and new 'expansion' will mean a large download for which I estimate 3 GB tops.
