daily upgrade?

I routinely upgrade my gear a little every day. I heard there was a daily upgrade mission. Is that correct and who gives it?

I have never heard of this either.

Are you thinking of the daily trivia quiz at Starfleet / Klingon academy that gives 480 dil?

No such thing as far as I am aware of.

The Admiralty System (not available yet for consoles) allows you to get 4 Romulan Republic Universal Tech Upgrades when you complete the Tour of Duty missions for the Romulan Campaign. The Tour of Duty missions randomly appears and there are 10 of them. When all 10 are completed you will receive the upgrade kits and the Tour of Duty mission resets to beginning so that you can earn more upgrade kits.

That quickest I heard of anyone running through all 10 Tour of Duty missions is 9 days. However, you need a lot of ships to do so and many of the Admiralty System missions a lot of science oriented ships to complete. This is a handicap for the Romulan and KDF factions since they do not have many science ships to begin with.

The Romulan Republic Universal Tech Upgrades gives gear 15k tech points. They do not cost you any dilithium. However, they offer no chance to improve the rarity of gear. Best used on gear that are epic quality, but are not Mk XIV.

In my opinion, you need to have at least 40 starships to effectively run through the Admiralty System campaign missions with ease. That is a combination of ships you purchased from the C-Store, ships you received from being promoted, Lockbox ships, various T5 "consolation" ships from lock boxes (such as Mirror Universe ships), ships obtained the 3 major events during the year which rewards a T6 starship and one-time (single use) starship cards (not actual ships) that can be earned from some of the Admiralty missions.

In a manner of speaking, yes, that does exist. If you go to your Fleet Research Lab, and enter the Development section, there's a NPC with a daily DOFF assignment straight ahead, but over to the right, by the machines that sell consoles and Kit stuff, there's another NPC that gives a daily mission to craft an R&D item in one of the seven R&D schools. If you complete that and turn it in you get all the materials needed to make a Superior Upgrade in the same school that you chose for the mission, PLUS some Dilithium, plus a generous amount of R&D research points, equivalent to a 4th R&D Research project per day.

Daily Tour the Galaxy mission...you can make a good amount of EC if you have a fast ship.

Actually, I think you are correct. They only offer normal chances for a rarity increase.

I got the mention of an upgrade daily from a post thread on upgrades. I think from everyone's input it's probably the fleet R&D daily. Thanks guys
