What do you think should get a revamp next?

The limit is 10 options so I couldn't add the usual "Other/comment" option I normally add, but feel free to coment anyway if you have another option.

honestly, most of those things could use a few small tweaks, but a revamp would be excessive.

    Duty officer System
I voted for DOFFing because it's got some broken aspects that have needed fixing for a good long while, and it's one of the more popular and innovative systems in this game, so a refurb would I think help both the system itself and the game overall in a very good way.

    PvP
Besides "all of the above" I'll say PvP since the lack of content at end-game combined with the slow trickling of new STFs/Red Alerts/Battlezones means it's a safer bet to just have something new all the time by engaging each other in PvP and creating our own 'content.'

To reflect progress that has been made in the year or so of in-game time since it was settled. There is the city interior, Reman area etc. that are completely untouched. There is a lot they can add to this.
But if they update it to match story progression, the underground ruins and the forest around it would be destroyed by the Heralds.

    None of the above.

My vote would be for 1) a balance/functionality pass to clean up all the broken stuff being exploited, and 2) adding a user setting to dial back space vomit animations.

Doff needs tasks for when your in the Delta Quadrant.

Also, stuff like periodical's could be looked at, maybe an ally ship/station needs resupplying, you find an alien macguffin to examine, pickup an SOS, or a bottle episode.

PvE queues, battlegrounds and adventure zones
I said PVE ques because the dead ques, even newer ones sometimes, are a problem. I know people would raise all kinds of heck about this, but I think they should really go back to a version of the system they had several years ago, where you HAD to play certain ques to get certain items. NOT random, as that part was a nightmare. But if there was a guaranteed path, to use the latest reputation for example:
    1. Play "Minor Difficulties" three times to unlock ability to start the Temporal armor project and Temporal deflector array
    2. "Days of Doom" three times to unlock the Temporal Personal shield project and Shield array and
    3. "Battle of Procyon V" to unlock the Temporal dual pistols and Temporal engine/warp core
Once the projects are unlocked, then any of the Temporal themed ques could be used to fill in the project.

If there was some kind of setup like this for all reputations, it would ensure players got the items they want, while also keeping all the ques alive, because they would all be relevant.
Maybe not exactly like this, but something is needed to fix all the dead ques.

You are missing a "none of the above; no need for futher revamps the game is fine the way it is, lets all have more reasonable expectations and enjoy it as it is" option.

    I vote for that one.

Your poll needs an "Other" option

    You didn't have this on your list;

    -Captain Species Revamp-

Give each species a ground and space trait, like Leadership/Efficient/Pirate/Salvage Specialist etc etc.
Only a small handful of species would not get one of each. Like a Gorn for example, could theoretically be a Ground Specialist, and have 2 ground specialty traits as opposed to 1 space and 1 ground.

Make a few new species specialty traits as they are needed, and to spice things up.

This is an MMO, time does not move forward in every map. Just like the patrols in the Federation area still act like the Klingon Wat is going on.

New Rom should stay the way it is because it has too for the people going through the storyline, who need it to be that way as the storyline dictates.

While you are correct in the fact that some places don't reflect progress in the game, they could at least replace the "friendly" Imperial Romulan NPCs with Republic Romulan NPCs. Last time I was there, there were still some friendly Romulans in Imperial uniforms. We got Republic NPCs now. Why not put them on New Romulus?

I would really like to see viable PVP added to the game. PVP is a renewable and continuing content that doesn't get digested in short order.

PvP in its current state is borked. Too much imbalance, people have figured out vape builds that kill in a second and are dang near impossible to survive...

While you are right in that it doesn't get digested as quickly as PvE, there is too much of a difference between many players with lots and lots of variables. Builds, skills, specializations... you'd pretty much have to give players a second, dedicated PvP skillsheet and find some way to keep PvE Vape Builds that can hit 100k DPS (exaguration on purpose, but you get the point) from being used in a PvP setting. We're talking a whole new system that has to be implimented and balanced seperately from PvE.

I'm working on a post about that. Instead of ship and gear balance they should make all ships of the same class have the same stats, with some console and seating customization and with exclusive PvP gear.

There is still the slight edge provided by spec trees. Also are you referring to class as in the main types of ships (Cruiser, Escort, Sci ship) or Class as in the specific ship class (Sovereign, Galaxy, ect)?

A lot of people take great pride in their builds (I know I'm kinda proud of my Tetryon build), so unless they duplicate pretty much every item in the game for PvP, there's gonna be a lot of unhappy people... *scratches head*

A lot of people take great pride in their builds (I know I'm kinda proud of my Tetryon build), so unless they duplicate pretty much every item in the game for PvP, there's gonna be a lot of unhappy people... *scratches head*

Main type of ship class, like cruiser, destroyer, dreadnought, escort, carrier, science ship, etc.

All PvE content would be disabled, that includes ship traits, captain traits and skills, duty officers, bridge officer traits, spec trees and reputation traits and abilities. All replaced by new PvP versions of the above mentioned. A new captain skill tree dedicated to PvP bound to ship with no zen respect cost, new PvP orientated gear, duty officers, bridge officers, PvP reputation and PvP spec tree.

Here is what I've written so far:
There are tons of ships and tons of different gear. So, how can PvP ever be balanced?

Easy, remove the variables, that being the different stats between ships and gear.

    What I mean is:

-PvP class system: All ships have a class, independently of its stats, a ship might be a cruiser, a dreadnought, a destroyer, etc. but each ship has individual stats. Get rid of that, make all ships of the same class have the same stats during PvP. That way you don’t have to balance 350+ ships, just a handful of classes.

-PvP gear: Same as before, there are lots of different gear with different stats and modifiers. That problem can be solved with PvP exclusive ship gear, bridge officers, PvP captain, ship and reputation traits, PvP specializations, duty officers, etc. The basic stuff should be available for energy credits, the more advanced stuff could require dilithium, PvP credits, competitive points or whatever, to purchase, upgrade and modify.

-PvP loadouts: To add some diversity and customization this is when loadouts make their appearance, in the form of specialization abilities, bridge officer seats and console slots. Your ship’s class and tier will determine a baseline for seats and consoles, but there should be a certain degree of customization, allowing to trade in some seats and console types for others. This also includes specialization seats.

There are up to 6 specialization seats you can distribute at will, the final number will depend on your ship’s class, the specialization type and how many different specializations you want to add.

Finally, you can choose which specialization abilities your ship will have. This is based on your specialization seating choice, if you picked only intelligence seats, then your ship will have the intel abilities, if you picked intel and command seats then you get to choose which of those two ability sets you want.

    As a practical example:

A T6 escort’s baseline console setup could be 4 tactical 1 engineer 1 science and 5 universal slots. The 5 console type limit still applies, that means you can have a maximum of 5 tactical consoles for example.

A T6 escort’s baseline seating setup could be 1 commander tactical and 1 lieutenant engineer with 7 free seatings you can distribute, the limit of 1 commander and 5 bridge officers still applies, for this example that means you can either have 2 lieutenant commanders and 1 ensign or 1 lieutenant commander and 2 lieutenants.

Now you pick the specialization seating, for example 1 ensing command and commander intel, and then the specialization abilities, you can either pick intel or command.

PvP battlegrounds, casual and competitive arena:

PvP battlegrounds: Similar to PvE battlegrounds, 2 teams, objectives like capture the flag, playload escort, attack-defend, king of the hill, map domination, etc. A place to have fun, test stuff and get some PvP credits. You can swap ships in your respawn area.

Arena: The current maps we have now, Deathmatch, less players than battlegrounds and no respawning or a limited number of respawns. For example, you can pick up to 3 ships to queue and once you lose 1 you respawn with another one. Casual mode is for practice and fun, competitive awards competitive points to purchase, upgrade and modify gear.

Hm... interesting. And since this is independant of PvE, Balance is better and any PvP tweaks wouldn't throw PvE under the bus like what happened so many times one way or the other.

So the only thing developers do is just "revamp" stuff?
They do more than that, like create new content for one.
I just think this mentality of already existing systems have to constantly be reinvented is silly. If its not broke dont fix it. Like the kit modules for for example, it was fine they way they did it before.

The next revamp should be almost nothing but BUG FIXES that have been sorely needed since the game came out. Other than that, there should be an EQUAL amount of content for the 2 1/2 factions. And the Romulan faction needs to be made into a FULL faction.

Something I would personally add is make the Universal BOFF seats truly universal. If a seat just has universal, then why not throw a Pilot in there, or Intel, Command, so on. Why is it limited to tac, engi, sci?

Not going to happen. You can't expect them to just shut down everything but the bug department. You can't ask Devs like Taco, an environmental artist, to just sit there and do nothing until every last bug is taken care of. And most of the content was designed to be cross faction.

Also... as this is an MMO, there is no such thing as a Bug Free enviornment. Every patch could introduce a new bug. New code not talking with old code sort of thing. For example, a new piece of code about a uniform fix might somehow not like an old piece of code in Infected space. BOOM! We have Borg Spheres with uber Emergency to Engines!
