10 Million Dilithium refined or unrefined. Can the amount be reached?

YES IT CAN!!!!

When I first started playiny Star Trek Online many many moons ago, the thought of earning 10 million dilithium seemed a never achievable task to me.

But today (a short while ago) I managed to reach 10 million unrefined dilithium. Many many hours have been spent pew pewing away, and I finally reached what I thought would be an impossible. :)

    I've got almost 4.3 mil refined as of last night, (spread across 6 characters I play).

    Mind you, I haven't felt the urge to buy anything lately. And finished my upgrading on my 2 mains a while ago. (Got a couple odds and ends I need to bring to epic, but nothing major).


    Keep in mind, there is a new Fleet holding coming. So you'll have plenty to donate when the time comes.

    EDIT: You better start refining that though, gonna take you like 1250 days refine it all :P

    Yeah, definitely possible. You are not the 1st person to reach that point. There is at least one other player that has maxed out at 10 million raw dilithium either earlier this year or late last year because I recall reading at least one thread topic about increasing the max beyond 10 million because he / she has already gotten to that point.

    I could almost match that if I was to pool all of mine on one character, but mine is refined. ;)

    eazzie, did you click the refine button at all? :D Even with the Veteran refinement and dil mine bonuses it'll still take you 1,100 days to chew through it all. The sad part is that at the current exchange rate, that'll only fetch you just under 24,000 Zen.

    Until the day comes when dilithium becomes a shared resource between all characters on an account, with the refining limit equivalent to 8k per lvl 60 character (to prevent abuse/exploitation), you're gonna be stuck with all that on one toon.

    I've already run into a similar problem- when boosting all reps on new toons, because they all complete simultaneously they go from being dil-starved to having an absolute flood that takes weeks to process.

    My Temporal Agent has 932k unrefined. A big portion of it is due to Admiralty and the Tier V in all of the Reputations.

    Today is also the 3-month Anniversary of that Character and today just completed ALL Specializations completely.

    Congrats!

    I just hit 5mil refined, which was a big accomplishment for me. It helped that I'm done upgrading things for a while.

    With 7 toons doing 8500 dil daily religiously, it would take about half a year.

    I am a Lifer and that 10 million is earned from many many hours of dedicated game play, sometimes spending upto 17 hours a day in game :)

    The rate at which you can aquire ore compared to what you can refine in a single day is bizarre. I refine the 8,000 every day and am up to about 200,000+ refined, but currently have over 100,000 ore (partly thanks to the 50,000 ore from the Crystalline Cataclysm - I'm referring to my XB1 account here). I easily make more than 8,000 ore/day.

    it does surprise me that the limit was never increased in STO, they did it in Neverwinter with the Astral Diamonds.
